@BCCI @ShubmanGill The test venues vs Aus next year can be Chennai (black soil) & Vizag (black soil) in January (too cold in northern Ind), Nagpur (in early February--Nagpur's low bounce), Kanpur (or Mohali) & Delhi (in late Feb). Do not give them the bounce advantage.

ROFL, How incredibly naive not to know how Aus wickets and Aus KK have changed post COVID and how not picking bowlers suited for Aus conditions (Atkinson over Tongue, ROFL) reduced Eng's chances - plus, lack of batting preparation

#RajasthanRoyals
US-based entrepreneur Kal Somani-led consortium has bought 100% of Rajasthan Royals at US$1.63 billion.
He is joined by the Rob Walton (Walmart) and the Hamp (Ford) families in the consortium.
Ownership will come into effect post the 2026 edition of the IPL.

Here are the top unsold players who could have been the perfect tactical fix for some of the teams.

He has improved his HTD skills. I repeat, just because he has improved, it doesn't make him good at it. But he has upgraded. In the past, he used to bowl floaty stuff.
Deepak@Levocitrizine
I think RCB should trust Romario's bowling. He was a bowler first, later he developed his batting skills.@Fancricket12 how do you rate Romario as a bowler?

Great fielder, has always been.
Sunny G’s cliched, “you don’t often see him drop catches,” should be reserved exclusively for Pandey.
Mufaddal Vohra@mufaddal_vohra
Manish Pandey takes a stunner. 🤯

@ajay43 IPL owners should do what they like with their money... :) Let cricketers good enough to play professionally get rich. Though, IPL contracts probably pay out very little if the player withdraws.

@cricketingview IMO, he might have won more games for RCB if he didn't take on SLA. Both Gayle and Warner picked and chose whom to go after IMO.
English

@SamRoy84 It's got nothing to do with that. AB de Villiers played in the same team Kohli did.

@Fancricket12 The tail with the old ball likely helped him in his accuracy of landing them..
English

@Fancricket12 Unpopular opinion (since only I have it). Prabhakar is the most accurate yorker bowler among Ind pacers I have seen in my 30+ years of watching cricket. Yes, many bowlers yorkers were more dangerous when they landed them but Prabhakar was very accurate in landing them.

1992-93, Cape Town ODI. Watched it on highlights, the next day.
It looks very bad but some of those lights in SA during that time resulted in absolute sitters being dropped. I remember players complaining about it. Just a point.

The match fixing scandal came to light in 1999. This happened in 1992. It all looks suspicious now.

@Fancricket12 slight pause -- mostly a visual illusion — but probably built on a real micro-slowdown at the top of his gather.
English

@Fancricket12 Absolutely. Sir, you described it much better than I could. I was thinking front arm, standing tall at the crease, the slight pause and more usage of wrists.
English

Better use of the front-arm (improved version) and standing tall at the crease... transferring kinetic energy.

@CricketopiaCom @Fancricket12 Sir, notice the change in Ambrose's action from early 90s to say in 96.

@Md_ZishanH @Fancricket12 @amittalwalkar This is one of my favs stances of all time.. I nearly fell out of my chair laughing when I first saw it 🤣🤣🤣🤣.. It aided Bailey in hitting the cover drive vs pace by getting in a favorable position for himself at time of delivery which he couldn't previously hit....

@Fancricket12 @amittalwalkar Completely opposite of George Bailey stance of 2017 vs South Africa

See this. Chanderpaul in India in 1994, facing Sri.

Bharath Ramaraj@Fancricket12
When I first watched him in 1994, he wasn't this front-on. Even when I saw him v Pakistan, somewhere in 2001-02, he wasn't this front-on. During that tour, Razzaq in particular troubled him again and again. A few months later, the trigger had changed a bit!
