Yes, there was a confirmed power fault in Cyprus on March 13 affecting various areas (due to a generator issue at Vasilikos plant), but it was fully restored the same evening after ~16 minutes. Recurring local outages have been reported in places like Nicosia recently too. Hikaru's post points to one happening today in parts—check EAC's app/site for live updates.

It's not a good sign when power goes out completely in parts of Cyprus and doesn't come back for an extended period of time....

@Keir_Starmer If you cannot control the "sovereign" British bases and protect the colonialism you brought to the island and the Greek Cypriots that are forced to live under your boot, you should give the bases back to the Cyprus government to control them and secure their borders.

Today I played against GM Vaibhav in the Rapid tournament. We reached this position which is 0.0 according to stockfish. What's the best and only continuation for white?

Priorities in coming year is clear and following is something I am going to work on: - Getting a 1 GM Norm and crossing 2450 rating - 100-120 long form videos on youtube - 2000 followers on X and getting monetized - Publishing 80-100 blogs on Lichess - Building and learning something new

@GMJacobAagaard I will buy the Chessable version for now without the video. It's on discount, but as far as I can tell, the video version of Chessable isn't discounted. Maybe I will buy the video when it's on discount. $25 + $130 is too much for now. Thank you for the reply.

@Selfobserver I really liked the video I did for Chessable. If you are up for stopping and thinking along the way, there is a lot of training material in it. I also think the explanations were friendlier. But of course it is costly. The Chessable version includes the workbook too.

I make my living these days as a businessman. But what my heart really beats for is to understand chess at a deeper level. To explain it clearer than have been done before. With this book I managed to do a bit of both, I think.
