@anishgiri @chessmonitor I think I found a bug too. If you click through your games and try another line then the one you played, you cannot return to the line played in the game. The moves you try are replacing the game. Is it something I do wrong or is it a bug?

In order to avoid theory, one must know theory. Here with 8...h5!? Fabiano took the game into the uncharted territory and was eventually able to outplay his young talented opponent. As you see, the prep can now be done on your phone, thanks to our ChessMonitor app.

@adjorno @anishgiri What we could do is to include Stockfish without (NNUE) weights and load the weights later. That's how the Lichess app does it. But this is just delaying the download and regarding UX you cannot start the engine immediately but are instead waiting for a download on first use..

@adjorno @anishgiri I don't know how that program works, but in general desktop apps work differently. Most don't include the engines and you have to install it yourself and then the engine is launched in a separate process. But that's not how apps work.

@adjorno @anishgiri Most of that is the latest Stockfish 18 engine which is included to analyze games. The weights alone make up about 110MB. (Thomas/developer here)

Hey @anishgiri I am facing an issue with @chessmonitor .. I mistakenly added my alt @chesscom account on Chess Monitor. I am able to remove it but can’t add my primary account. It automatically adds my alt account. I tried reaching out to support but no response yet.

To add another account, you need to first logout of your alt account from @chesscom So when it's asking you to connect, you first logout, then re-login to the account you want to add. And currently there is a bug that you need to re-open app after removing/adding an account.
