Regrettably, many synagogues in the United States are political institutions as much as they are religious ones. That makes them fair game for protest. If you don't want political protests in front of your synagogue, don't wrap your Synagogue around apartheid and genocide. Here are some tips & tricks: 1) Don't host auctions or fundraisers for the Jewish National Fund (JNF) at your synagogue. This prayer includes a wish to "adorn them [Israel's leaders] in a mantle of victory."
