Video games are a male hobby, the difference is men are fine with you being in their hobby as long as you're not annoying. It's sort of like how make up is a predominantly female hobby/industry. Men aren't bitching that you guys also get 75% market share of every clothing store either, cause we get it. Women buy more clothes than men it makes sense. Just like how men buy more video games than women do. But it's funny how only one side of this upsets you

What I would do to save Xbox if I was in charge and I had the power to do whatever I wanted.
In an ideal world consumers > shareholders.
I'd jump ship from PlayStation to Xbox if this happened and I've been on it from the beginning, even whey they struggled with the PS3.

The hybrid approach gives you more features and choice.

Sony used to, but not anymore.
XBOX wants to be both a platform holder with exclusive games AND a third-party publisher with multi platform releases.
That sends mixed messaging.
They aren’t the same as PS & nintendo

If you're upset about the change with Xbox in regards to PS... ultimately it's Sony who is responsible for Xbox making certain titles exclusives again.
Microsoft originally had a great solution to give their hardware customers a massive reason to buy their next console... making it a hybrid that runs PC storefronts.
In doing so, they would have unlocked PlayStation’s PC ports for Xbox players to enjoy directly on Microsoft hardware.
They would still have to wait the 1-2 years for them to come to PC but they would eventually have access.
Sony saw this coming and knew it would be an incredible incentive for people to jump over to Project Helix.
Since they couldn't control their games running on a competitor's box through Steam, they abruptly pulled their single-player games from PC altogether.
They effectively took their ball and went home.
With that PS on PC loophole slammed shut, Xbox leadership was left with no choice but to find another way to entice players to buy into the hardware.
If you're mad about Xbox pulling titles off PS... you need to direct that frustration at Sony.
They are the ones who killed the more open access Xbox was looking to implement.

Nintendo and steam don’t really get talked about.
When people talk about console competition, they usually talk about PlayStation vs Xbox.

If I’m going to support exclusivity for XBOX, it would be because the next XBOX will be open platform.
It would be to convince people to adopt Microsoft open platform over Sony’s closed platform.
I just think people are too pent up over PS vs Xbox.

Exclusives are essential.
They define a console’s identity, deliver unique experiences, and fuel competition that drives the entire gaming industry forward.
That said, players also deserve freedom. Cross-play and broader accessibility can coexist with exclusives — giving the best of both worlds.
It’s not about “every game everywhere.” It’s about balance, choice, and thriving ecosystems.

It just means more offerings from XBOX.
A brand offering more choice and consumer friendly options makes that brand better!
Not to mention… Microsoft isn’t subsidizing the next XBOX. They’ll be selling it at a profit.

@FuuTop1 That's confusing to me as well. They must know that making a console that "plays PC games" means people expect Steam, and thus little reason for folks to use the Xbox PC app. If they mean Xbox-owned platforms on PC, like Battlenet, then that really only means Starcraft and Wow
