My mother in law loves when I cook for her (very sweet) but she always asks me for the recipe (I don't measure but give ingredients) and then calls me saying it tastes bland and I have to be like "Sarah if you knew how much I salt your food you'd kill yourself"

The reason meals taste so much better at restaurants than at home is because they put about a half stick of butter in every dish. The old adage of “it tastes better when someone else makes it” is true because you’d feel insane adding as much fat, sugar and salt at home.

People complaining that World Cup match times don't fit their time zone is such a strange complaint. The tournament schedule is built around the host country, the players, and the fans attending the games, not viewers halfway across the world. As someone on the East Coast, I'll have plenty of late-night kickoffs too. That's just how time zones work. Football is a global sport; not every match will be scheduled around your convenience. What gets me is how Europe-centric this complaint feels. Fans in Australia and countries across Asia have been waking up at ridiculous hours or staying up all night to watch major tournaments for years. That is part of following a global sport. Plus, several matches are being played in the afternoon or early evening local time, when the heat is at its worst, specifically to make them more accessible for European audiences.

@DeepSpaceErmine We did a lot of camping when I was a kid so my parents would just let us wander the store for hours it ruled. There was a fish tank, rock wall, arcade shooting gallery, all sorts of taxidermy displays even a demonstration area with nature talks
