People ask me if I can recommend Crimson Desert.
And I can’t really answer that, because the first part of the game, controls, the boring first town, are going to turn a lot of people off.
I can say that I really enjoy the game past that point, personally, because I like having this big sandbox to play in and explore.
But if you have no patience (understandably) for the controls, or if you hate puzzles, or if you came for a hugely integrated story feeling, you won’t really enjoy it.
Crimson desert is very polarizing.
Attn @FlintDibble : (1) you have been boasting and preening for nearly two years that you "won" your debate on the JRE with me and that your self-proclaimed brilliant performance "tanked" my audience. Usually, it is the loser of a debate, not the winner, who asks for a second round. I must therefore assume that your petulant demands to go "face to face" with me again mean you’ve known all along that you failed yourself and embarrassed your profession very badly when you sat down with me for JRE 2136 and that everything you've said on the matter since then is simply the smelly gas of a deeply insecure man. (2) In your pinned post of March 10th 2026 you accuse me of cowardice and lack of integrity and claim that I "rejected two different offers to go face to face” with you "on major, international media outlets". From whence came the “two different offers” for me to go face to face with you in a second debate? When and where were these “offers” made? And in what way, where, did I reject these offers? (3) For the avoidance of future doubt let me be clear. I am content for JRE 2136, the debate that you claim you won, to stand as the permanent record of what passed between us and to continue to allow those who are still interested to make up their own minds on the matter. I see no point in sitting down with you again to accommodate your neediness.
"Hancock and other pseudoarchaeologists center White Europeans as able creators while chalking up the accomplishments of other peoples to outside influences: the Atlantis civilization, aliens, lizard people, or the “lost” empire of Tartaria. Real archaeology inoculates people against the online and in-person racists who take Hancock’s polished presentation of a mysterious civilization and twist it into overt white supremacy."
Outright lie in the first sentance.
@SpawnYaardReply I’ve been playing on controller so I can’t say for mnk but after you reveal a memory with the light you can press start to put the helmet on and view the memory without going into any menu.
This is how you read memories in Crimson Desert.
Sometimes, the instructions are not very clear or you couldn't read it cuz it disappeared.
Does anyone know how you can access the control instructions that the game provides? In case you couldn't read it in time and it disappears.
@seashelljulia@Abusoru@Graham__Hancock@FlintDibble To take one point the erosion patterns on the Sphinx. It’s not even the disagreement on facts I have issue with, it’s the closed mindedness in a field that is always evolving.
@seashelljulia@Abusoru@Graham__Hancock@FlintDibble I have no idea but I can see how some fringe people would latch on to the idea. If they do exist it’s so small it’s irrelevant and has no reason to be discussed except to attack someone by association.
@Clemyrichards@Graham__Hancock@FlintDibble I did. Believing a structure like Gobekli Tepi was possible people said were crazy until it was found. There is a process of theorizing and verification and to treat anyone who puts forth alternative theories as ignorant is the height of hubris.
@SidesMars@Graham__Hancock@FlintDibble Flint showed there’s no evidence for a lost advanced civilization because we’d see tools, buildings, and waste, and we don’t. He also proved Ice Age conditions made large scale agriculture extremely unlikely. Im assuming you asked cause you didn't watch the debate right?
@seashelljulia@Abusoru@Graham__Hancock@FlintDibble My feelings are irrelevant as is the point. If a Nazi says 2+2=4 should I question my math? The only reason he made the claim was to question Grahms morality
@SidesMars@Abusoru@Graham__Hancock@FlintDibble It’s true that they are though, even if that hurts your feelings. You’re free to say it’s irrelevant, and then there’s a conversation to be had there, but it’s not false.
@Abusoru@Graham__Hancock@FlintDibble He said his theories were tied to white supremacy ideologies. If you want to draw a distinction between the two that’s fine, I don’t.
@SidesMars@Graham__Hancock@FlintDibble Except that Flint never called Graham a white supremacist and he cited multiple studies and other researchers in his presentation. Meanwhile, Graham had blurry vacation photos and spent the majority of the time whining that archeologists are mean to him.
@SidesMars@Graham__Hancock@FlintDibble You understand during their debate flint was the only one that provided any evidence I know that's really hard for you to understand 🤣
@SeekingAnon On the money. One, your not smart enough to know what you need so why are you asking? Two, you already have all the help you will ever need you just need to be open to receive it.
@Fightincowboy I'm a big fan of your content and really liked your review, but this is one Let's Play I'm choosing not to watch. I'm trying to go into this game as blind as possible. I'll definitely be running to your channel if I get stuck though lol
Let's Play is currently at 63 parts, going to be dropping 4 per day to start most likely. Of course T2/T3 members will be able to view everything that's uploaded like always. Also planning to stream some free-roam after dinner tonight to kick off my weekend probably around 7/8pm.
@SidesMars@Graham__Hancock@FlintDibble The funny part is he doesn't even rely on his expertise, he always goes the "a friend told me so" route with no evidence.
