@Jakob_Goodwin @ThePfef I have never met a judge or TO at any level of a cEDH tournament that holds Gitrog players to those archaic restrictions. The only thing that can’t be “legally” shortcut is the drawing of the library. Everything else is deterministic from there.

@SplitSecondMTG @ThePfef Often, Gitrog is winning through long, non deterministic loops that take forever. In tournaments, where you have 80 minute rounds, there have been cases where the Gitrog player just couldn’t execute the loop fast enough to kill their opponents.

@ThePfef The Gitrog Monster is playable in one and not the other, but otherwise this distinction is ridiculous.
