My biggest memory of Game 2 at 4:52 in the second, the score was 49-34 LA. Rockets subbed in Reed-Amen-KD-Jabari-Sengun. By 3:13, Rockets were within 6. 49-43. Rockets also subbed out Jabari/Reed at that time. That lineup never played another second together lmao

Halfway thru the 2nd quarter and only two minutes for Reed Sheppard and six minutes for Tari Eason. Don't understand that decision.

This lineup has not seen the court ONCE since their 9-0 run in the second quarter. What are we doing?!?!!?!???????

9 turnovers for KD + 20 points on 21 true shooting possessions for Şengün is so many wasted possessions from your 2 highest-volume players, let alone w/so few other options. There are factors driving this but you're facing such an uphill battle for effective offense that way.

Including the postseason, Kevin Durant has been held to 3 or fewer points while turning it over 5+ times in a half on three occasions in his career: April 26, 2014 vs Memphis (1st half) March 16, 2026 vs Lakers (2nd half) April 21, 2026 vs Lakers (2nd half) Before this season, it only happened once in 18 seasons. Now, he's done it twice against the Lakers over the past 5 weeks.

Kevin Durant on his 9 turnovers: "I've got to be better at not putting my teammates in bad positions when I swing the ball. ... I'm trying to make the correct (read). I feel like I've got to shoot more of those."

So, after barely any sleep, here are a few thoughts on why the Rockets are down 0-2. Honestly, it's too many problems to list here, but here are three. Ime Udoka's lack of adjustments, especially with KD, who is the most consistent scorer on this team by a mile, but he is constantly having to go up against 2 or 3 defenders from 25 feet out. That is a lack of creativity and has not worked all season, but we are still talking about it in the playoffs. Your second-best player, Alperen Sengun, has been a non-factor through two games. Yes, the Lakers are packing the paint, but if you are going to be more than just a good regular-season player, you can't let any team take you out of a playoff series, no matter what defense they are playing. The most obvious and the biggest issue of them all. They have too many players who can't make a wide-open basket. It's that simple. It doesn't matter what offense you run, it doesn't matter if KD is playing or not, it doesn't matter who you have on the court, if your team can't make open shots, playing 4-3, you will NEVER win in the playoffs. Honestly, I dont know what to expect from Game 3, but I do know one thing: I'll be there for Game 3 and Game 4, that's all I can say for sure lol. It's been a long season.
