31- Farewell San Vicente (2023). Por curiosidad busqué juegos de mi tierra y encontré una maravilla. Retrata con sensibilidad a las familias desplazadas por la violencia, logrando transmitir ese desespero de forma cruda. @slashie_ completamente increíble.

25- Boiling Point (2021). Si no estoy mal, es la primera película que veo que usa el formato one-shot, y para ser la primera vez, me parece fenomenal. A lo mejor se quedó corta con la resolución de la misma obra, pero a nivel cinematográfico es un sin igual.

interesting, I've been considering real time in a grid, mainly so you can more freely see the animals behave around on their own (and also to make hunting/monster catching a bit more dynamic and less roll-based) 🤔

@ArturSmiarowski @slashie_ I think TTRPGs with their many DM guides have an answer: A nice recap and ritual. It allows the player to mourn their character (time and emotions invested), and remember the good times. In VGs it's harder, but a short funeral animation/screen may do wonders.

The problem with permadeath in long-form Roguelikes is that it evokes a feeling of loss instead of accomplishment. Players feel they lost time and progress. I always keep that in mind and often wonder what would make permadeath become a fulfilling end to a character's story.
