This is probably an unpopular take, but while Citi Field is a wonderful ballpark, it wasn't built for me. It was built for people who missed the Brooklyn Dodgers. Any real sense of Mets history was ignored for the most part. It's improved over the years, and the aesthetics are wonderful, but I've never felt at home there. Shea Stadium was my home, and I truly miss it.

What exactly is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame honoring anymore? Most of the nominees don’t even fall under rock and roll, you have to ask what the standard is. Rock built this Hall. The guitars. The sweat. The rebellion. The live shows that changed lives... Boston belongs on this list too...It's a damn shame.

With the Rock Hall Nominees announced today, I’m seeing a lot of “what about…” comments. Names like Boston, Scorpions & Dio popping up a lot as well. I do believe the Scorpions are deserving, but I have my doubts about the other two. Boston had a very spotty career. Huge albums followed by years of inactivity. Does having a huge album automatically qualify you? As for Dio, we metal heads love him and of course want him in. But did he have a cultural impact outside of our own little world? Did his albums have a huge impact around the globe? I’m not so sure. And jokingly, I’ll add that having an album out on the Spitfire Records label; should disqualify you immediately.
