As a massive fan of both Coronation Street and Doctor Who I've compiled a list of over 500 actors who appeared in both shows. So, for my own reference, I'm slowly going to put them all in this thread, ordered chronologically (ish) by when they first appeared in Corrie. #CorrieDW

I'm incredibly tired of Corrie's preachy issues-based speeches that are said by a character whilst we see a montage of characters involved in the storyline. I just roll my eyes and tune out, it's lost all impact and just become another noticeable trope.

@davidlouiscarp1 I don't dislike because I'm not sympathetic, I dislike it because it is trying to manipulate the emotions of the viewers with unnatural dialogue that sounds like it comes straight from a leaflet and not something any normal person would say. It's trying too hard to be praised.

Robert Preston has to be the most commonly forgotten major Corrie regular. There's a business on the street that is named after him and yet he still has no actual legacy in the show. I don't even know if he's been mentioned once since his laughably tragic death 6+ years ago.

Watching the missing Dalek's Master Plan episodes currently and my god Katarina is brilliant. She had so much potential, but her time being cut short just completes her character. I loved her for years and I'm so glad to many others now agree. #StanKatarina

Kevin Webster rocking up in tonight's Corrie looking almost unrecognisable. (practically) BALD.

I've been asked by the family to pass on the sad news that one of the Doctor Who's longest lived contributors - Laurie Webb, aka Mr Ollis in The Three Doctors - passed away peacefully on Sunday: 5 weeks short of his 102nd birthday. What a life, what a man. Delightful company too.

I always forget that the current version of Ryan Connor was brought in when Michelle was still in the show, he's such a strong character on his own nowadays. Current Ryan and Michelle were only in Corrie together for a year and a half, he's outlasted her by over 6 years now.
