@GMCJ_ @ScottJund Fair. I’ve seen it happen several times myself. I think the current state of DBD in general just inspires a cloud of hopelessness the longer you play this game. It’s easier to “go next” in hopes of an “easy” match after facing mostly sweat and toxicity all day.

Maybe hot take but the #1 cause of the rate of increase for people giving up in DBD was removing the depip penalty. Since most give ups happen at the start when no emblems are earned and thus no pip, reinstating the penalty would cut the give ups in half IMO.

@JaneIsLive meant to say 3k*** in that last reply; Typo. But yeah the toxicity has reached absurd levels on both sides. they need to revise their reporting system to include the only thing they actually enforce which is exploits. Everything else is just for show with 0 enforcement taken

@T4TMates People think I'm overreacting, but they just don't see how the toxicity and lack of human connections are hurting us right now, expecially after we dedicated so much to this game and community.

In the replies I see many like this and it saddens me. I would like to say something, but I still live with the scars of me trying to reach BHVR about Zoey and not even getting a single message.
We used to have more human conversations with devs before.

I'm sad I didn't realize it sooner. All the 'reasons' given on the reporting screen aren't even legitimate reasons they would take action, as has been communicated via email if you send a clip to them directly to follow up

@JustBrieathe dbd strike tbh. i'm a 50/50 surv/killer player, iri 1 on both, and neither are fun anymore. devs and shitty moderation are to blame. I challenge BHVR to define 'participating in normal gameplay' for everyone, since there seems to be a very clear disconnect there.

@Zhrixxanna @ScottJund the longer you've played this game, the longer you've been around to see it go downhill in terms of gameplay. I used to be able to have fun even if I died. Now I rarely even have fun if I survive, hence why they've been hemorrhaging players since July '24.

@ScottJund I'm on the team of burnout causing this go next epidemic. I don't think anyone cares about pips past like 250-500 hours. I see more go nexters on high prestiges than I do on low ones.

@MonkeyBurrito_ @ScottJund and if people DC because they're being bled out and humped? doesn't really seem fair for there to be a penalty in that case. the state of this game is so ass on both sides that I really can't blame survs for going next in my matches or killers for not wanting to deal with trolls.

@ScottJund Why don't they just introduce stricter penalties then? 1 DC = 15 minutes. History of disconnecting frequently? Temp bans

@ScottJund Ok i just read that now you meant giving up not dc’ing. Yeah man its been brutal, even if you stop them from going next they throw tantrums and run around dropping every pallet. Idk what the solution would be to those kinds of players. BAN THEM.

@ScottJund nah they would just lose the few thousand remaining players they have that actually play to have fun, not to rank up. it's a wonder anyone has any fun anymore with so much toxicity rampant on both sides & their mod staff always saying "we don't consider this a reportable ofense"

@JononJeff I think ruining the game is subject to an individual person! To me, my game isn’t ruined if I get bled out. My fun isn’t diminished. It’s not fun for killers to face breakout/sabo and I don’t think people who run that are fun suckers outside the game!

How someone decides to play a game doesn’t equal how that person is outside the internet. You wanna breakout/sabo make it hard for the killer? Go for it. You wanna slug at 5 gens? Go for it. The most toxic part of DBD is how the community judges each other. It’s a video game.

@Sinpaiin @Ashhlo_ I mean... gen pressure is a thing. Corrupt & Pain Res are things... r*ping survivors when they're downed because they managed to pallet you or sabo to save or you were silly enough to chase them around a single basic loop for 3 gens sounds like a skill issue worth evaluating.

@davoodisatwat That's BHVR for ya 8))) punish survs for dc'ing when a match is held hostage (despite their surv being replaced with a bot vs a killer DC which abruptly ends the game) while simultaneously refusing to sanction the very behavior they offer options of reporting for in end game 8)

This account has been so dead for so many reasons. All I can say now is that Marvel Rivals currently reigns supreme but damn, do I wish they had some legitimate MMR before I'm ready to face incels on comp mode VC. Time to rally up my own team to avoid exactly that, I guess. . .

@JaneIsLive furthermore, stats in this game mean diddly squat. 'go next' culture is a thing because of the way a majority of killers choose to play. It's a way of saying "well, you clearly don't want to 'participate in normal gameplay' so suffer the consequences in BP/entertainment :)))))"

@JaneIsLive girl. everything needs a rework now. DBD is dying. Devs need to wake up.They've lost thousands of players from their average since July of last year. I have almost 3k hours and I've completely abandoned the game at this point until some serious changes are made, esp to moderation

Blight stats: He has one of the highest pick rates and, by comparing pick rate and kill rate, an incredibly high kill rate. The kill Distribution also says that he gets 4Ks more often than 3Ks and other results.
I do think he needs serious changes/nerf now.
