@WifiMoneyPlant The trick is to let them think you're financing. Negotiate the car price down as if you're taking their loan. Then when the number is locked, tell them you're paying cash. The financing profit disappears. The discount stays.

Apparently most US dealerships make more financing now than from the cars themselves I was such a boomer I assumed they'd want CASH In reality they want your ETERNAL SLAVERY at 19% APR

@WifiMoneyPlant There is no margin in the tangible so we turn to the intangible for margin. Your typical newish used car loses money at the advertised price. The financing doesn’t make much money in itself but it makes warranties, protection products, etc. easier to pitch.

I will admit it. I LOVED Trump unhinged when he was on the campaign trail. He was outspoken, politically incorrect and fearless in his brutality. And I loved it. In the wake of so much political correctness, it was refreshing to see a man who didn't care what people thought. He was a breath of fresh air. That is, eschewing the deeper levels of the calling and teachings of Christ, they settle for living with pithy slogans that tickle the ears. There is no "dying to self," or, "taking up your cross." And especially, there is no, "seeking God with all your heart, and loving your neighbor as yourself." In other words, it is a dangerous theology, a "Christianity," that is bereft of Christ. Matthew 7:14 states: "But small is the gate and narrow the way that leads to life, and only a few find it." May God open our hearts to His Spirit, and our eyes to His path.

I was fired from Anthropic today. I was the engineer responsible for shipping the latest dev/claude-code npm package. Wanting to improve the debugging experience for the team, I decided to include source maps in the release. This resulted in our entire internal codebase being publicly exposed including thousands of files with every agent command, all system prompts, the complete query engine, Undercover Mode, Bypass Permissions Mode, and our internal telemetry configuration. I take full responsibility. I genuinely believed the safeguards Claude Code had built for me would be adequate and it was a serious miscalculation on my part. My actions have unintentionally open-sourced major parts of Claude’s architecture well ahead of schedule. I apologize to the team and to Claude.

His colleague then turned to him and told him I was behind the “StripMallGuy” account. His eyes lit up. “I have to find you deals!!” Serious question: It would be socially awkward to mention the account during meetings - but it changes the entire dynamic of the conversation.
