Pussy willow is dioecious - bearing male & female flowers on different trees 🌳🐈🐈‍⬛ 🌳 As the more familiar silky male catkins become dusted in pollen, the spikier female catkins appear. Dioecious, deliciously, comes from the Greek for two houses🏠🏡

This afternoon I set out on pilgrimage from @StPaulsLondon with fellow pilgrims and a wonderful send-off. We walked via Southwark Cathedral and will end the day with Evening Prayer at St Alphege in Greenwich. Please keep us in your prayers as we begin the journey to Canterbury.
