Not even a single BJP supporter I know is showing any excitement about Bihar new CM Samrat Chaudhary. It took 75 years for BJP to have their own CM in Bihar and they put up the one of the most ineligible man on CM post. Even after 20yrs of BJP-JDU govt in Bihar, there is no job and industry growth in Bihar, that means Bihar is kept in poverty on purpose so that it can keep supplying low paying workers to South and West India. Right now it's is like if you're getting a CM post in BJP after winning the election, you are getting stamped by top leadership of being a weak leader who doesn't have his own personality or vision for the state.

I agree, to an extent the SC/ST voters didn't vote for them because the opposition was playing the caste card. But BJP had RSS & the core Hindu voters who would have served as perfect launch platforms for a country wide outreach knitting all Hindu castes together. This was a ground up exercise that needed door to door campaigning, BJP has all the resources at their disposal. Cadre, budget, an organic social media network etc. Instead they chose the swing the extreme way and over appease the reserved category, while crushing the GC Hindus who were BJP's core voter base. The anger in the public is way evident, both online and offline. They're playing a gamble to see how the equations solve for themselves. We may or may not see a change in tone based on election results of the states that just went to polls. This is what is called as a wake up call for all Hindus and General Castes; if we don't put aside our differences & become one massive vote block, they will continue fragmenting us while crushing the our present & the future of our kids.

What I feel is that in 2024, BJP may have sensed a shift when Rahul Gandhi strongly emphasized the Constitution and reservation, which seems to have influenced a significant movement of SC/ST voters towards Congress. For most of them, identity politics around reservation matter more than Hindutva (of course, there are exceptions). This possibly created a sense of concern within the BJP that if this voter base consolidates elsewhere, it could become a long term political challenge. At the same time, it also feels like the electoral potential of Hindutva as a mobilizing factor may have already reached its peak, ensuring a certain fixed vote base regardless. Since then, it seems the BJP has started placing greater emphasis on figures like Ambedkar and Phule, and on issues related to reservation something they did earlier as well, but now with noticeably higher intensity. Because of this, it also feels like General Category (GC) concerns are being increasingly overlooked, perhaps under the assumption that they will continue to support the party in the name of Hindutva regardless. But this could be a miscalculation by the BJP, the more General Category voters feel pushed or ignored, the more likely they are to unite and consolidate politically. That's exactly what's happening these days! What do you all think?
