U.S. Right to Know filed a #FOIA lawsuit last week against the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The case encompasses two FOIA requests. The first request seeks meeting minutes of the Potential Pandemic Pathogens Care and Oversight (P3CO) review committee, as well as communications about the regulation of gain of function research or dual use research of concern. The second request seeks communications of former HHS Secretary Alex Azar related to the origin of COVID-19. usrtk.org/wp-content/upl… This is our 43rd FOIA lawsuit for documents related to the origin of COVID-19, gain-of-function research and related matters. New FOIAs by @USRTK show US virologists proposed putting furin cleavage sites into viruses closely related to SARS-CoV-2 (Covid) AFTER the pandemic began. There's still no gov oversight of privately funded work on pathogens that aren't select agents.

#FOIA Friday: 6 years after a pandemic killed millions, & 3 years after we asked (& sued) for records, the FBI coughed up these heavily redacted pages of COVID origins assessment. Time to rebrand the agency to FBO — Fully Blacked Out. Lots of ink. No public accountability.

The CIA continues to stonewall our #FOIA lawsuit for the CIA’s latest assessment of the origin of the COVID-19 pandemic, and supporting materials. This is not the “maximum transparency” the American people were promised. Here is our report to the court. usrtk.org/wp-content/upl…

In a new Amicus brief, the administration is urging SCOTUS to side with German pesticide company Bayer in a case that could eliminate every American’s right to sue if harmed by glyphosate (Round-Up). But I’m still MAHA & pro Constitution. What about you? usrtk.org/pesticides/tru…

Thomas Massie just said the quiet part out loud: “This government is under siege.” Bayer is waging war on our rights, our Constitution, and MAHA. Bayer is a foreign company—and they’re demanding legal immunity to mass poison Americans with glyphosate. We’re fighting back. Here’s how: Massie reminded his colleagues on the House floor that “the Constitution guarantees people a trial if they’ve been harmed.” “Everybody in this country deserves their day in court.” This right needs to be preserved at all costs. We are not demanding that glyphosate be eliminated overnight. We are not telling farmers how to farm. We are demanding that the Republicans preserve our fundamental right to sue pesticide companies when their products poison us. We are demanding that Republicans uphold the promises they made to MAHA voters in 2024. Massie revealed that Bayer has spent “over $9 million” lobbying Congress and the White House for legal immunity from lawsuits over “any damages that their herbicide causes.” We need all hands on deck to fight back. Use the link below for a step-by-step guide on how you can take action in just 2 minutes:🧵
