@Helen_Tyson Definitely email! My daughter didn’t get it at all until I emailed. After we watched multiple children get it for the second time - in reception 🤯 they’d totally forgotten her and didn’t keep good records. More a case of teacher panicking on a Friday and picking at random 🙈

My child is so sad she’s not been “Star of the week” yet in Year One. “Why mommy?! What do I need to do?!”EtcEtc. It’s killing me not giving feedback to school. Should I go for it? #twittereps

@adamboxer1 Me too 😂 that’s exactly what my comment was saying originally- what I don’t get is attacking one way or the other for having a different approach 🤷‍♀️ if silence works for your school - go for it, if you’re happy to let your kids chat on way to lesson - also fine.

@VCIC15 I dunno man, I work in a school that doesn't have silent corridors so I'd say I'm pretty chill with it either way.

@RE_McGEE @AcadHethersett What would you recommend for a school wanting to start introducing philosophy curriculum? Neither of the teachers have a philosophy background so are slightly overwhelmed when it comes to planning!

Today, the @AcadHethersett RP book club met to read the chapters on Hobbes and Parmenides from “You Kant make it up”. We discussed whether altruistic acts are possible and if nothing is actually something.

Any RE teachers not sure how to support some of your students and yourself. You need to check out @benwardle_ he has done an insane amount of work. A real gem of a teacher, I really hope you're in teaching to stay, you're amazing!

Day 12 of docetaxel round 4. I paid the price today for doing too much yesterday. I have slept for most of the day and struggled with joint pain and nausea. It is a great excuse for an evening on the sofa watching trashy TV.

@RE_McGEE This will be me next year 🙈 I’ve fought for whole cohort entry and got it and now have to justify it in 12 months!

Five years ago today, my first RE GCSE cohort sat their first exam - having had me as the head of department through the whole course. Also, the first exam for new specifications. My daughter was sitting the exam. I was more nervous than she was and so she gave me a pep talk!

@Positivteacha @NEUnion I did the same - online was a bit awkward but over the phone they were amazing. I couldn’t believe how much better the communication was after 20 years in @NASUWT and barely ever hearing from anyone!

If I was worried about people comparing me to 1930s Germany, my next move probably wouldn't be to shut down all criticism on the national broadcasting service
