The Board of NPH has had Councillor representation from both the Conservative and Labour groups for the last four years. It's also a shame that these Company Directors did not fulfil their key role of being 'independent or thought'. What challenge and scrutiny has there been?

This isn't just an operational failure - it is a huge failure of governance. NPH has had a Board with council and political representation from both the Conservative and Labour groups since the formation of WNC. There are questions to be asked at many levels.

Very concerning to hear about the data collection issues at @NPH_news, especially finding that thousands rather than hundreds were living in sub-decent homes. It’s good to see @WestNorthants Council and NPH working together to improve, but we have failed residents

And with the housing waiting list totalling over 4,000, 72 is welcome but will be a drop ocean of what is fundamentally needed.

@WNLibDems We believe it means the old bus depot in St James that council bought last year. Greyfriars is a separate scheme in partnership with the English Cities Fund

The Greyfriars framework published last week shows 540 dwellings and 900 student beds. Are the 72 in addition or part of these proposals? Is it for social housing? In Northampton, funding isn't the only problem it's the delivery mechanism with capital projects well behind.

Today, @Keir_Starmer announced £68 million of funding for local councils to turn brownfield sites into homes. Great news that more than £2.59 million has been allocated for @WestNorthants , including £1.4 million to transform the #Northampton bus depot and deliver 72 new homes!

The purchase of the corn exchange was discussed, debated and challenged at cabinet the week before. Behind closed doors due to the constitution - not our choice. Cabinet has ALL the power on these decisions. Council merely a nod from the Conservative majority. We abstained.

I have spent time today looking at Thursday's WNC meeting on YouTube. With few exceptions the performances were awful. What is being hidden from the about the Corn Exchange & why? @WNLabourGroup needs to up its performance & ask the important questions. Same for @WNLibDems

Hundreds of thousands more pensioners are now set to lose out on these desperately needed payments that protect so many from having to choose between heating and eating.
