happening - I do not think there are many examples in the professional world where there is such apathy and indifference (and general incompetence) as doctors in training experience.

Attended a very nasty job last night on the pavement. As the haemostatic gauze was being opened, it was noted a member of the public videoing on their phone. Asked to put it away which was met with expletives and a tut..never put it away Absolutely no respect left in society

There are 5 generalist specialists: General practitioners, acute & gen med consultants, ED consultants, ICU consultants and paeds consultants. (And the resident Drs training to be above). PAs are not generalists and they are not specialists.

Resuscitative thoracotomy is a required competency for EM CCT. I would expect an EM consultant at a DGH to be able to open the chest if the patient was in cardiac arrest… [1/2]
