People are not angry because they can't enjoy things. They are angry because they correctly understand that the things they once loved are being converted into weapons for an ideology that hates them. There is a very obvious sadistic side to Progressivism's hijacking of things like movies and video games. These people do not love the media they're destroying. They're not trying to make something good. They just want revenge against the normal world. They want the actual fans to feel alienated and dispossessed. That's the entire point. It's a spin off about Kratos' dead wife. It's not a DEI replacement. If you care about the lore, this probably adds more into it.
As long as the story is good and not a DEI game, then I see nothing wrong with this.
