This is nonsense. The rule of law is missing in this country because, if it existed, people would understand that there are consequences for actions like this. A sexual act that violates another person’s rights is nowhere near tradition. No tradition that infringes on rights is superior to the Constitution.

Videos showing several ladies crying out for help after they were sexually assaulted by groups of men during the Ozoro "raping festival" in Delta State🤯💔 According to a man in the video, during this period any girl that comes outside will be raped.

Girls in my village, Ozoro are getting raped all in the name of “tradition” Not one single male among them stopped to say it’s wrong and try to stop the rest. If Ozoro women come out to talk against men it’s still those people that’ll say “not all men”

A community that ought to protect its students! A community that ought to protect its students! A community that ought to protect its students! In Oleh, that year, when you go to the market, traders offer you huge discounts because you are a student. Even bike men and artisans do the same. But Ozoro?! Mad people who seem to be out for the blood of students unfortunate enough to school in their community. It is always one thing or the other. May the wrath of Allah be upon everyone involved in this and every community leader who has enabled an environment where this can happen.

@BigMeeish @motivatedjoy2 @Iyefuu The most important thing is that they just have to be willing to learn, and their instructors, must have the necessary knowledge-transfer skill to effectively train the student

There’s so much to unpack in that Asake doc Korty made. She is a genius and truly one of the most remarkable storytellers of our time. The one thing that stood out for me was his rebellion against reason and stubbornly insisting on his own path in life even when his parents wanted differently for him. I know his story is that of an outlier, but Life gives no certainty to anyone. In the end, the most courageous thing you can do is to take a chance on your self and answer the question of who you want to become with your own life. You can feel his quiet conviction and deep sense of providence that somehow everything would work out. And It did. Please watch that doc if you haven’t, but more importantly fight for your place in the world. We only get to do this life ting once.

@Tunde_OD Admiring Asake’s rebellion is fine, but let’s not romanticize it, most people who ‘ignore advice’ end up broke, stuck, or failing. Playing life like a gamble only works if luck and privilege are on your side. His story isn’t a blueprint; it’s an outlier flex.

Earth’s orbit is getting crowded. Tens of thousands of objects circle the planet. At orbital speeds, even a marble-sized object can destroy a satellite on impact. Teams on the ground track debris and maneuver satellites to avoid collisions.

@0xkitng With all these Boko Haram issues, you'd begin to wonder if the Nigerian government does threat modeling, and data driven intelligence gathering and analysis. Boko Haram, ISWAP , etc may probably have similarities to hierarchies like ant colonies.

Several important factors have contributed to this situation •our education system has been experiencing a significant decline over recent years! The quality of graduates being produced and entering the workforce is not meeting the standards that are needed in today's competitive environment •the widespread Japa syndrome has had a particularly severe impact on the middle class, especially those in middle management positions! These were the experienced professionals who traditionally dedicated substantial time and effort to mentoring and training the next generations of workers! With many of them having exited the country, we are now left with a problematic situation where senior management is overworked and stretched too thin, while junior staff members at the bottom feel undervalued and lack proper guidance

He won a scholarship to study Nuclear Engineering in China His immediate younger sister won a scholarship to study Nuclear Physics at UCLA Their eldest sister studied Mathematics at the University of Ibadan Their father was a professor of Physics, a graduate of the University of Liverpool Their mother was a professor of Mathematics, a graduate of the University of Ife Both their parents still lecture, but now at a private University in Abuja while taking on Sabbatical positions in several universities all over the world. He graduated top of his class in China His plan was to move from China to the USA on a Scholarship or through a special type of visa that would qualify him for employment in a good multinational company or an engineering firm like SpaceX or TESLA Unfortunately, the government policy in the USA changed just as he was graduating, and the visa type he was hoping to take advantage of became restricted His other route, which would be through scholarship and a tenured position as a lecturer, was also affected by the government policy. He had some opportunities to work in China, but he was tired of the country. He really desired to move to the USA or Canada, but there were no offers from there, and he was too busy to apply for jobs like other people. He was a first-class brain, the type that headhunters queue and even pay to have lunch with The election of one politician could indeed change things both negatively and positively for people. He never expected to be affected by anything political in his life due to the success he has recorded in the academic world. He was a name that was well spoken and recognized in tertiary institutions of note all over the world. Eventually, he got an offer from India. It was not what he wanted, but it was a different experience and one that could one day come in handy, especially since he read that some industries in Nigeria had adopted indian software and technology. One could never tell when such an experience would come in handy. He accepted the offer from India and resumed as the Director of the Technical Division of the company that employed him. He got a very large office, an apartment, a driver, and other perks apart from his salary. It was the life he wanted, but not in the country he desired. He told himself he would stick with them till the end of his five-year contract and leave. The present government in the USA will only spend four years in office, and the next president might change all the policies that have prevented him from moving to the USA. The deputy director he was working with was an Indian, she had been with the company for four years and would have been promoted to his role if the company hadn't decided to outsource the role to him He treated the lady with respect and listened to her input and counsel before making decisions. The company was kind to him as everything he touched seemed to turn to gold. The company started experiencing its optimum productivity from the month he joined, and month after month, he surpassed himself. The CEO, a billionaire, invited him to lunch to celebrate new milestones almost every month One day, he woke up, and he couldn't remember who he was or what he did. It was an affliction that didn't announce itself. As if a bulb in his head was switched off, and his mind remained in perpetual darkness. The CEO of the company was worried when they didn't see him at the office for a week. When they eventually checked up on him, they realised he was lost in a hypnotic haze He was able to do the basic things like cook, eat, and dress himself, but that was all. He was not sleeping, just staring into space all day He was not even speaking or functional beyond the basics. They got doctors, psychiatrists, and behavioural specialists to examine him. The recommendation was for him to be taken to a familiar environment outside India for a while Everybody said it was stress and other mumbo jumbo. He didn't have a concussion, no accident, no trauma of any kind, and yet he had become a vegetable of sorts. His office reached out to his next of kin in Nigeria and gave them the news. Tickets were sent to his sister in Nigeria to aid her journey to India so that she could fly with him back to Nigeria The sister in Nigeria reached out to the sister in Canada They didn't want to alarm their parents and decided to travel to India together to see their brother The sister in Nigeria reached out to the brother in Jeans and a T-shirt Sir, there is a fire on the mountain I got a call from my brother's place of work in India They said he has developed a mental illness, and they want me to come to India so that I can escort him back to Nigeria. Please, sir, pray with me What is the Holy Spirit saying? They prayed. The instruction was simple When you get to India, take him to his office When you get to his office, make him sit on his seat while you read four scriptures out loud and pray in the Spirit "Should we call you when we get there? We would like you to pray for him, sir," The sister said The Brother in Jeans and a T-shirt said, "That will not be necessary. Let us be smart and do what the Holy Spirit said we should do, the way he said we should do it." The two sisters arrived in India and went straight to his apartment. The apartment was about ten minutes drive from the office. They took him to the office and told the staff members who asked that they wanted to pack his personal effects. They were shown into the office When they got there, they sat him at his work desk, prayed in the spirit in hushed tones as they opened their Bibles and began to read the scriptures. Ezekiel 37, Song of Solomon 16, Psalm 57, Ezekiel 1, and Revelation 4. By the time they finished reading Ezekiel 1, he had fallen asleep with his head on his desk The sister sent a picture of him sleeping to the Brother in Jeans and a T-shirt. The Brother in Jeans and a T-shirt told them to keep praying until he wakes up by himself. He also told them that it is likely the person who stoked the fire of the affliction would see that he was recovering and come to them, but they should not panic The atmosphere they had stirred would arrest the demon and its agent The sisters prayed on and also took turns reading the scriptures every thirty minutes in between prayers. At about 8 pm They heard a knock on the door They opened it, and it was the assistant director She looked at them, looked at the man on the desk, and fell down face-first as if she had been hit with something on the head The sisters continued to pray till midnight. He woke up fully back to himself. His deputy also woke up from her "slain in the spirit experience," but oddly, she could not stand up on her feet. Every time she attempted to stand, her knees buckled, and she fell back to the floor. The Sisters asked her to confess what she did so that she could be healed, and she did so. She said she felt slighted that they gave him the position that ought to have been given to her rightfully, and she went to seek redress with a local shaman. She was led to Christ, and she was healed instantly. The brother was a born-again Christian, but he was not spirit-filled, and he was not stirring up the Spirit of God in Him as he should have been doing. This was why he fell prey to such a demonic attack without any resistance. The sisters returned to Nigeria and Canada, respectively, with songs of praise in their mouths and an assurance that the power of God is at work in them through the Holy Spirit. The brother continued to thrive in India His walk with the Lord became strong. He started an online fellowship for professional Christians in India that is still thriving till today. This event happened in January 2025. -GSW-

@jols04 2. The teachers then start to indoctrinate and brainwash the kids because it is easier to manipulate children than adults. The schools basically create a "talent pipeline" for terrorists and their organizations.

@jols04 1. The north has a serious poverty problem. I believe that They are the poorest set of Nigerians generally, so parents tend to hand over their kids (who are young) to the benevolent almajiri school. Many of the teachers in these schools have extremist ideologies.
