think in systems.
here’s one example: imagine your life as a stock, everything you do to change it (positively or negatively) is a flow.
the question now; are you listening properly to feedback loops and changing the flow to either make it reinforcing (a better life) or balancing (a depreciating life) ?
this can be extrapolated to every system known to mankind, but at different levels of complexity.

people underestimate how difficult it is to become good at something.
a good software engineer is a product of lots of work put in. a great software engineer is 100x more than that.
paying top market rates is the most reliable way you can start conversations with a good/great software engineer - let’s ignore other factors that transcend money and are still relevant.

one way to get ahead in life: when you are bored, choose to do something that moves your life forward. e.g; learn a new skill, a new language, put in an application, apply to a new job, think of a new way to do something that is already the status-quo - the list is endless.

One example from my numerous failures over the years. she (christian) wanted to sleep with me.
She called me at 12, saying she wanted to come over, but I said nooo
That same week, she started ignoring my messages and became problematic. I got the signal and deleted her number.
