What tees, what yardage should I play from? #Golf ⛳️🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️ “Drive x25” … which also aligns nicely w/ @PGA / @USGA Tee It Forward recommendations ⬇️ & typical @PGATOUR setups for their avg drive of 300. Plus…”Drive x25” rhymes.😉⛳️

🚨🐅🚙 #NO EXCUSE — Barstool Sports founder @stoolpresidente on Tiger Woods after his DUI arrest: “..He should have a driver with him, there’s no excuse… put him behind bars, put him in jail for a little bit, make him wake up. Do you agree with Portnoy?

Major champion Gary Woodland had brain surgery in 2023 to remove a tumor. That tumor was pressing on the part of his brain that controls fear and anxiety. A year ago, Woodland was diagnosed with PTSD that resulted from his surgery. Earlier this month, he went public with his PTSD diagnosis to help himself and others. Woodland is back in the winner's circle ❤️

Golf media has always had a complicated relationship with Tiger Woods. And if we’re being honest…he hasn’t been covered like anyone else. Not because he didn’t deserve the spotlight…he did. But because he became too important to the entire ecosystem. When one player drives attention, ratings, and revenue for 20+ years, the incentives change. Media benefits from access. Players benefit from protection. And somewhere in the middle, coverage shifts. Not always intentionally. Not always coordinated. But it does happen. Certain questions don’t get asked. Certain topics get edited. Certain lines don’t get crossed. Because the upside of staying in the circle is higher than the upside of pushing back. That’s not unique to golf. It’s what happens anytime one figure becomes bigger than the system around them. But let’s not pretend it hasn’t existed here. It has. And when access matters more than honesty…it’s not journalism anymore…it’s just PR.

Yeah, good luck with that long across the line flying elbow loose at the top swing, kid.
JR Riggs@JRRiggsGolf

@Swingtheclubken @notRJdavis Yeah it’s too loose at the top. Goes way over the line with unnecessary movement. Extreme flying right elbow. Looks too lazy coming down to impact. Speaking of lazy, to wrap the club head far behind you on the backswing is lazy. Folks, this is not a good swing! DO NOT COPY IT!!

Golf is awesome because it’s pretty much the only sport where somebody who’s literally just some guy will be like “sure he’s a top 50 player in the world but he actually sucks” lmao. Sure man.

58% overturn …🤔🤔🤔 Good thing is watching it, it hardly takes any time away from the game to take a quick look. It's probably something that's going to stay. @MLB ⚾️

@MidwestGolfJake We have 2 greens on my home course where you have to stay away from pinning flags in certain locations. Not saying it’s a bad pin … but not not saying that.😉😂

@NewYorkGolfer13 It was a bad look to come out with the statement & also not report the story out of a perceived loyalty…with very little details known at the time & a million options (to include silence). Very simple fact reporting & a our thoughts are with Tiger & family…were all available.

With opinions like this, will the Golf Twitter community finally just stop following him?? Sheer luck that Tiger didn’t KILL or MAIM someone. There are hundreds of better Golf Twitter accounts to follow. I encourage anyone to respond here and tag a great golf follow….

Watching opinions on this play out over GolfTwitter & X at large has been wild. The extremes of worst person on earth…to no big deal — even a few he’ll come back from this stronger & win again. This will all play out. He clearly understood what the refusal of the test meant. It’s in the legal system now…with high-level lawyers & influence up & down the legal & governmental chain likely to play a role.

@MWPutters It was an interesting post to read with all the variety of answers. People definitely love their coffee.☕️ My favorite is Hills Bros Original. Not bitter, easy on the stomach, & great taste. Not the cheapest on the shelves, but worth it.☕️

Hutch🏌️‍♂️📉@hutch_golf

We're growing the data team at @ArccosGolf and I'm looking for a Staff Data Engineer to help shape the architecture as we scale. You'd be building the data platform that powers our AI, ML, and analytics — on top of billions of golf shots across every course on earth. IC role, reports to me. New York/CT or California preferred. If this sounds like your kind of thing, check out the link in the next post.

I'll give away the secret. I've told people about this formula many times before so here it is again: In a hurting wind, you adjust for 1% per MPH of wind. 14 MPH? Adjust 14%. 170 x 14% is 23.8. In a helping wind it's .5% of help per MPH of wind. Of course, plenty of other factors after this, but this is a key number everyone should reasonably be able to calculate or at least get close on. Not really a secret btw
LKD@LukeKerrDineen

I love that Edoardo Molinari is casually living in the year 2036 Calculates exact hurt/help yardage impacts from various distances at different wind speeds 24 yards of hurt in this 170 yard/14 mph example. (Rest is X'd out because don't want to give away too many secrets)

@BryanTweed16 @privategolfacs A6 #GolfChat Hope to play this week & weekend. Still chilly 🥶 & the weather is still up & down…but spring is starting to show itself. No interest in the Dechambeau LIV/TGL talk. I’m a fan…but his recent commenting sounds more like yapping than anything actually constructive.

@BryanTweed16 A5 #GolfChat It’s not my thing for sure. Most I get into is a greenie pot (closest to the pin). In my experience, gambling rarely is a positive. I think pressure playing can be gained in other ways that stay away from money on the line.

🚨🚨🚨#GOLFCHAT QUESTION #5🚨🚨🚨 Betting on the course and money games can certainly blur the lines of etiquette. For those who gamble, does it change for you how strictly etiquette should be followed? Have any disputes about rules/etiquette ever strained relationships?
