@MidwestGolfJake In the year of our lord 2026, why can I not find the web/live scoring for this event?
English

This is crazy. All 9 teams are within 11 shots of each other after day one. I don't think I've ever seen a team golf event this tight!

@MidwestGolfJake @Golfingbrock I’m sure he’s losing sleep at night.
English

@zagnut Ha, nah. Who doesn't love a little Summit League golf?
English

@Nathan_Derner Impressive spelling, despite the USD education
English

@LouStagner I'm trying to influence people to not waste their youth like I did.
Don't go to the pool, don't see movies, don't get a job. Just grind at the course 10+ hours per day.
English

@MidwestGolfJake Wait - I thought all influencers averaged 6-7 birdies per round?
English

@CXNGolf I don't know. Lydia Ko got married and has stayed competitive.
English

@MidwestGolfJake With her getting married it’s only a matter of time.
English

@coachjohnlemmon 56 with 8 degrees of bounce, M grind. I also have a 52 with 12 degrees of bounce.
English

@MidwestGolfJake Where is your ball position? Too far back can be problematic.
What club? Not enough bounce is also an issue.
English

@dkwintersgolf Why are your friends making you play such a long hole?
English

We seem to have a clear separation in the top 4 golfers in the world... Scottie, Rory, Matt Fitzpatrick and Cam Young.
We don't have a big 4 yet but if all these guys can stay in form for a bit, it will be a really fun run here the next few months.
Pretty fun seeing all these guys playing well!
Is there a 5th player who could jump in the mix?
English

@tweeth_mitchell I like this tip. Simple is good.
I struggle with hitting too far behind it without opening the face enough, or catching it hosel first.
I want simple...get on the green and take doubles out of play.
English

@MidwestGolfJake All the tips about "make your hands do this" or "it should feel like this" are overcomplicated and as likely to do harm as good. But this one works because it gives your brain an end result to work with and your body can feel out how best to accomplish that result from there.

@hannahbggg I have 2 home clubs but the one with a bunker is 90 minutes away. I'm going to spend a couple days there for an event so I'll get some bunker practice then.
I'm playing 9 tomorrow at my other club...if it's slow I'll spend some time on one of the 6 bunkers on the whole course.
English

@MidwestGolfJake No bunker at the home club is *actually* so frustrating. Maybe just throw 1-2 balls in the bunkers on course on a slow day!
English

@hannahbggg I don't have anywhere good locally to go practice bunker shots. Also I have a job that limits my golf time to ~10 hours per week.
My best strategy seems to be to avoid them like the plague.
English

@MidwestGolfJake Spend more than 4 minutes practicing bunker shots each week 😂
English

@JishSwish I'm planning to spend some time in the practice bunker and Elmwood in a couple weeks. Until then I have to avoid them.
I really should just move to Marshalltown.
English

@MidwestGolfJake Lovely advice already given here. Just wanted to note that you actually diagnosed your issue within your own post. It's the very last sentence 🙂
