Still can't believe what happened at Holyhead Breakwater Country Park today.
@laurenevans217's pishing worked fucking magic when this Red-eyed Vireo materialised in a Hawthorn in front of us!😁
A new species for both of us and Lauren's first American passerine!

@welshbirders @AngleseyBirdman It was vocal🙂Pale fringing to wing and undertail coverts too

@_dsbirding @AngleseyBirdman Why is it an ouzel rather than a blackbird?

Crazy looking leucistic Ring Ouzel at Holyhead today with @AngleseyBirdman. We also had a Yellow-browed Warbler.

Choosing to take today off work definitely paid off once again at Holyhead. @laurenevans217 and I found this Pallas's Warbler in the plantation at South Stack this morning. We are both very happy!

Stupidly good day at Holyhead with the legend @AngleseyBirdman.
We saw 14 Yellow-browed Warblers! The look on his face when 4 showed together in the 'magic bush' said it all really.
Not much time for photos but happy with a record shot of 2 together.

Great day at Holyhead with @laurenevans217! Highlight by far was this dark juvenile Honey Buzzard which circled the mountain then flew strongly south west. Also had Pied Flycatcher (our first there), Osprey and 8 Spot Flycatchers.

Such head streaking perfectly ok for an adult at this time of year.
Also pic of @marcbuzzard's bird from the same place on 11/08 to compare primary pattern, see P5 for instance.

Another visit to the Welsh woodland yesterday produced the same dark chocolate female Honey Buzzard from two weeks ago (two pics on right to compare).🍫
Thanks to @jarpartridge, Steve Roberts and the county recorder for all the info and encouragement!
Leaving the area soon🫤
