I noticed that I haven’t set eyes on my niece today nor have I heard her giggly and happy voice with her distinct footsteps running towards my side, screaming “My Jujuuuuuuuu! 🤔
Checking my phone it’s past 12 already and knowing she hasn’t gone to school, it was weird, even before saying hello to my mom or dad I left my side and instantly found myself outside the house heading straight to my brother’s house, opens the gate and was walking towards their door when she saw me from her room and the giggly voice happy screamed “My Jujuuuuuu” followed by a squeal and like Bolt she was at the door swinging it wide open and instantly complaining. 🤣🤣
She was so serious and angry that all she get mumbling were words I couldn’t comprehend, then a stressed “Mammah” at the end of each mumble came out with her pointing to the direction of her moms room, Instinctively the mom came out laughing trying to explain, a fake stern “why are you people stressing my baby?” From me did the magic, she mischievously gave me a smile with satisfaction that whatever her mom did has being atoned and she leaned towards my leg as if to appreciate. 😍
To many these interactions wouldn’t mean anything, to me it was enough to get me worried, leave my place and headed straight to their house, yes it’s that important hence the panic when I didn’t hear or saw her today. 😭

All these are children whose only crime is the fact that they are Nigerians, knowing my niece is home and safe but the fact I couldn’t see her messed me up, I wonder what each parents of these kids or their loved ones must be going through. 💔
The mockery in the videos, the beheading of their teacher, the flogging, the exposure to the elements, the yearn for their parents warmth, the trauma and fear, ya salaam! 💔
To even imagine that these children who should have no business other than playing, eating and destruction are exposed to such barbaric act breaks my heart, the fact that these children are used as a bargain TO OUR SELFISHNESS, breaks my heart. 💔
Indeed we are NOT ANGRY ENOUGH, WE ARE NOT ANGRY ENOUGH TO REALISE IT COULD BE ANY OF OUR CHILDREN, NIECES, NEPHEWS, COUSINS, RELATIVES OR LOVED ONES. We are not angry enough. 💔
