It's kinda understandable when emotions run high, we're all pissed off at opportunities lost and today was a stinger. Personally I like to keep the head up and look longer term, I also think we need continuity as much as anything else, and for as long as there is progress you keep going - the context of progress has been lost in the fog and fury if today's 2nd half. We're football fans, it's natural.

At some point you need to recognise the difference between undeniable progress that has hit the buffers by small margins and terminal decline. We are in the former not the latter. That team today averaged 24yrs old, there were 3 players signed permanently in Jan who will get better again, and there is still more surgery required on the squad to be made (unless you think the bench was Laden with quality today?) 1st half was perfect, the 2nd half was unacceptable - but I think it's fair for Röhl to expect the players on the park to be capable of ONE COUNTER ATTACKING TURNOVER IN THAT 45 MINUTES to kill the game. Because we do that and today is hailed as a perfect match and he's had a perfect gameplan. This season is bonkers and I think the difference between 1st and 4th will be marginal. Cup tie is crucial but for me it changes nothing re the above. Structure is now stable above the coach and the improvements are definite, emotions tonight are overruling the strategy that I think is required to build a winning team.

Football belongs to players and fans, not to soulless, joyless pedants with no feel for the game. Senseless decision, an affront to football. Ruling out that third goal is one of the most ridiculous moments of the season, totally against the spirit of the game. The law’s an ass, if it’s a foul, play advantage, and/or how can it be DOGSO if there’s a goal scored? Can’t blame the ref tbh, blame the law and the law-makers and the fact that refs denied the opportunity to apply common sense, living in fear of those who mark their homework. #LIVMCI
