The #CommunityHealthWeek2023 is yet to take place . The #NationalCommunityHealthStrategy will be launched. The NCHS will improve health outcomes at community level through strengthening the existing CH systems to provide essential services as outlined under the UNMHC package.

Community Health Week is an annual event with the goal of raising awareness about the mission and accomplishments of Uganda's health sector. Community Health Centers serve as the beacon of strength, service, and care in their communities. #CommunityHealthWeek2023

With storage capacity of over 30,000 pallet storage locations, the new @nmsuganda warehouse has been officially commissioned by HE @KagutaMuseveni this afternoon. This has been achieved with 60% funding from Govt of Uganda and 40% from Global Fund.

Day 2; In Jinja,The Community Health Department at @MinofHealthUG has Engaged another group of traditional healers from Kagadi and Bunyangabo District. Traditional medicine has a long history. #CommunityHealthOfficers

During our visit to the Mubende RRH Ebola treatment unit, we interacted with the healthworkers, appreciated and encouraged them. We also cautioned them on being very strict on infection prevention and control. "No room for mistakes"

This morning, accompanied by @henrymwebesa, technical teams and partners, we visited Kassanda district. Happy to note that surveillance in the district has improved. We will be setting up an #Ebola treatment Unit in the district to support the response to #EbolaOutbreakUG
