A very devastating blast in Quetta killing scores of innocent people. Very painful and our prayers go to the martyrs and their families. The anti terrorism policy needs an overhaul before it is too late. It is too late already though. Peace internally should be the foremost priority. Our efforts for regional peace is to have peace inside our borders. Defeats the purpose if we help achieve regional peace and keep on facing terrorism inside. Board-based national Anti Terrorism policy is a must, the National Action Plan has been followed expediently.

Hate to say this at my vintage, but Reuters in Pakistan is ISPR stenography. CNN & Bloomberg sometimes go even beyond. Salt away for media historians those quivering-voice Nic Robertson clips talking of “relentless” Pakistani missile attacks on Indian bases. Only he looked shaken & stirred. In diplomacy this was called clientitis..

This story yday in Reuters is over a month old… I recall it being discussed down to the Pak Army units deployed…Q is why re-release it now ? Who benefits ?

@majorgauravarya or there could be even more. The same india that spectacularly lost to China in 1962 or the same India that lost 1000Kms of territory to China in Galwan. All are ridiculous facts to base one's argument on as context matters. Hope the jingoism can go down

@majorgauravarya Sir, with respect, this is like saying modern India is no longer the original version of India, its divided into 3 countries now, its the same India which was ruled by a variety of outsiders for 400 years so of course it can be ruled again. Thats your logic? Weak

I remember seeing someone post last year that you should call your mom, and go visit her more often because she won’t be around that long. It was a sweet post. It was someone else’s sadness, though. It was a great reminder to really appreciate the limited time we have with our moms - but it wasn’t me. I called my mom almost every day, so I couldn’t truly feel the limited time I had left with her. The post last year didn’t capture me like maybe it should have. Well, my mom passed away less than three weeks ago, suddenly, and I can’t tell you how captured I am now. If your mom is alive, here’s your reminder to call her, go see her, spend time with her, love on her. Your time with her is very limited. Don’t just think it’s an issue for someone else. It’s you faster than you think.

@Fahdhusain @DThucydides Sir, is there any space for deep analysis of structural gaps in our capabilities ? For example our air defense? Current coverage from our end is primarily celebratory with negligible convos on areas of improvement. Regards

SUPARCO has successfully launched its indigenous electro-optical satellite (EO-3) from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Centre The addition of EO-3 to Pakistan’s Earth Observation satellite fleet significantly enhances national capabilities in remote sensing.

@ashoswai Professor sb, the variants of Fatah used had a range of 140km at best. Weird that Indian media is talking about ballistic missiles from Pakistan. Are they saying Pak fired ballistic missiles and India showed restraint by not firing ballistic missiles? Beyond stupid

It’s good news that the Strait of Hormuz has now reopened. This must be a long lasting and workable solution, without tolls or restrictions on routes. Today we announced our joint plan with France and other international partners to protect freedom of navigation. We need to see a return to peace and stability, and a permanent ceasefire.
