@AlexanderSoros Better there than here. Please stay.

@elonmusk The challenge will be helping people bridge the transition. There will inevitably be people whose jobs will become obsolete before UHI kicks in.

NEWS: SpaceX is now using a voice-based AI assistant powered by Grok to handle Starlink customer support calls. The voice sounds fully human and can converse with users in real time.
"Grok is already doing quite a good job at SpaceX and Tesla. We are seeing Grok be very helpful in things like customer service and the AI is infinitely patient, so you can yell at it, and it's still going to be very nice."

@MattGlassman312 @NateSilver538 If this is the case, it's because the 21st century media has labeled every single act of Donald Trump a "national crisis" since he came down the escalator. Nobody listens to you anymore because you can't be trusted to be honest about what constitutes a national crisis.
English

A side conjecture related to the @NateSilver538 thesis about nuclear brinksmanship: I'm worried the structure of 21st century media can't put a national crisis in focus. blog.mattglassman.net/iran-nuclear-b…

... and yet we all know how this season will go. Our offense will be good. Our defense will be better than last year. Our starting pitchers will be average. And for the 63rd year in a row our bullpen will be frustrating. Blowing so many leads kills the vibe on this team. For once can we prioritize the bullpen in an off season? Until we do that we're just hoping to get lucky in the post-season.

Praying that in 2026, highly paid professional pundits finally learn the difference between liberal and leftist.
Liberals are *literally* centrists.
Nate Silver@NateSilver538
I don’t exactly buy that Kamala tried to run as a centrist but to the extent she did not many voters bought it. We can debate the reasons for it, but if you look at any sort of polling data, her image was very lib.
English

@ErikRuby It was the right move to make, but there's massive risk with it. If Mark Williams gets injured our center rotation is in trouble. Nick Richards may not have been playing much, but he would start if Williams goes down.
English

@NateSilver538 Regardless of your opinion of him (which I highly doubt he cares about), it's important to note that you can't refute the first two facts he stated.
English

This guy is such a joke, it's one terrible opinion after another concealed by pretentious writing, get the fuck out of here with "sinuously". Ironically academic I guess.
Curtis Yarvin@curtis_yarvin
She drove her car at a cop. He pulled a gun on the cops. Watch the way the lib, without denying these fundamental facts, sinuously works around them
English

@ErikRuby The league has no interest in having good officiating. The bad calls increase the drama and more people watch. As long as bad officiating boosts their bottom line it won't change, and we all keep feeding into it.
English

@emckowndawson Kind of meaningless when one party can manufacture as many ballots as they need to win at the last minute.

@OpenSociety No one is blaming migrants. We're blaming the politicians that blatantly ignore immigration law for their own benefit, to the detriment of the very people they are supposed to work for.
English

Migrants being blamed for problems they did not cause isn’t new. When immigration systems appear chaotic and uncontrolled, it becomes easy for politicians to point fingers, stoke fear, and scapegoat the vulnerable to seize power. We see this dynamic playing out in the United States, Europe, Latin America, and beyond.
But the headlines often miss that even in this darkness, extraordinary acts of solidarity are happening every day: parents in Washington, D.C. escorting their neighbors’ children to school, British citizens welcoming Ukrainian refugees into their homes, and veterans defending the Afghan interpreters who once fought alongside them.
Gregory Maniatis @gmaniatis, our director of refugees and immigration, explains Open Society’s support of giving communities control over who comes and how they are welcomed. Through sponsorship programs, local labor partnerships, and civic integration systems, community control works across faiths and political divides to challenge top-down systems.

@FlexFromJersey Allen and Goody combine to go 0-13 on 3's tonight...
and we would absolutely have lost this game without them.

@KellanOlson If Brooks would look to pass a little more it would open more lanes for him. Right now defenders know the can over play the shot and drive.
English

@SwipeWright Democrats have spent years hunting for racists. Turns out all they needed to do was look in the mirror.
English

I have no patience for racists in office who want to seize the house I saved for and bought solely due to the color of my skin.
Anti-white racism is so normalized on the left that for most it doesn't even register as a problem, and is regularly wielded as a virtue signal.
Mike Solana@micsolana
cea weaver believes private homes should be seized and white ppl specifically should be targeted. she spoke about this, publicly, for years, and has taken back nothing. the mayor is standing by her. amnesty is not a thing we give to politicians for things they STILL WANT.
English

I think the Somalian community and Democrats have vastly underestimated the loathing which regular Americans have for fraud and corruption. This may be a normal response fraud in Somalia, but it will not fly here in America. Particularly when it comes to tax dollars (which we are then told we aren't paying enough of anyway).
