1. No, I’m saying I don’t like making a move for a domestic abuser. I will not give up my fandom over a move I cannot control. 2. I’m sure it was a toxic situation, but two wrongs don’t make a right. I’m obv going to talk about Bridges because he is the player the Suns traded for. There is a very hard middle ground to find here, and I hope that Miles has put in the work to be a better person. Doesn’t take away the past.

Almost every sports league and team makes it abundantly clear they don’t care about violence towards women, so I’m not going to act shocked or betrayed that the Suns would acquire a player like this But that doesn’t make it any less disappointing or embarrassing

I’m not going to stop rooting for the Phoenix Suns, and I know Miles Bridges is not the only professional athlete in this type of situation. That doesn’t mean I’m not gonna feel a type of way about this.

Not a great defensive player, but would be a fit offensively for sure. I would have a very hard time rooting for a team that employs Miles Bridges.

I hear ya, they’d do it cause they want him at that PF position and think he could at least be a bench player if one of Fleming or Koa hit. I just can’t imagine they trade for him and then let him walk. Especially since Grayson would have to be in the deal most likely and he’s a legit valuable player.

@ErikRuby Well, if they’re finding it’s actually harder to move Royce and Grayson than they thought and they would like the cap space for next season for whatever reason… just trying to find the logic based on the idea of an expiring contract. Otherwise I have no idea why they’d do it

Totally get where you’re coming from. I do trust our front office, but the MSU bias has to be a factor in this AND overall if someone is a good basketball player the ethics side of things is usually overlooked. Not saying the Suns would be alone in this, but i hate that side of sports.

@ErikRuby I didn't know how you felt about them but I am just talking in general how people apply roles differently for different people. Don't get me wrong I don't want him here either but just saying I trust in Mat, BG, and Ott.

Yeah I hear you, I’ve got way more mixed feelings about those players than most AZ fans. Multiple instances for Bridges, and having others who have done it doesn’t mean we can’t make a change now. Athletes are treated so differently for actions like this, it just pissed me off.

@ErikRuby Larry Fitzgerald also has accusations of DV, Britney Griner also has documented cases of DV, and I don't remember the outrage or same feelings... Bridges case was almost 4 years ago, lost millions, and has kept himself out of legal trouble since then. Not defending him btw

@bricklinsnow If they trade for him they’d lock him up. Considering they have to move assets for him.

@ErikRuby I think Flex highlighting the expiring contract is the only thing that makes me feel a *little* better about it. That does make next years offseason a lot more enticing. Not the role model and leader I would want for our young guys though
