Calling Musk out is overdue and I strongly welcome the PM’s intervention.
David Yelland@davidyelland
Elon Musk has clearly been a threat to democracy in the UK for some time, his algorithm is like a virus at the heart of our body politik, so the PM’s criticism of him is well merited.

Henry Nowak is the latest victim of a policing system that frequently abuses its power and strips people of their humanity. It is utterly despicable and it is not new.
In one sense, I’m glad that the likes of Nigel Farage and Rupert Lowe finally care about police brutality. But their analysis of a “two-tier” policing system (in which the police favours racialised communities at the expense of white people) is a wilful distortion of reality. It is designed to turn us against each other and it lets violent policing off the hook.
Henry Nowak and his family deserve justice. Every victim of police brutality and their families deserve justice.

I thought the Prime Minister was outstanding at PMQs in response to Nigel Farage’s question about the tragic murder of Henry Novak.
Calm, dignified and decent leadership at an important moment.
Thank you @Keir_Starmer

Today we've renationalised the UK's largest train operator.
Passengers will see fewer last-minute cancellations, cleaner toilets and more services to Gatwick Airport.
We are building Great British Railways. 🇬🇧🚆

Left back was a problematic position for #NCFC last season.
So what is the state of play? How do they fix it? What does the summer hold?
I've tackled those key questions in the latest part of my Norwich City squad audit👇

Both the Tories and Reform are now saying the kirpan should be banned.
This is totally wrong. The kirpan is a key article of the Sikh faith.
An entire community cannot be tarred by the horrendous actions of one person.
Charlie Peters@CDP1882
Robert Jenrick has told @GBNEWS that Reform UK would ban the kirpan, the Sikh ceremonial knife, being carried in public after the murder of Henry Nowak. The differing rules on knives being allowed in public have been described as another example of two-tier justice.

I know lots of people will be out over the weekend enjoying the sunshine.
It’s important to stay safe in the heat - so check out the guidance below before heading out.

@WG_RumblePants Agree totally. I am astounded that both he and Key survived. I think it may unfold over the next few weeks, New Zealand are no mugs, wouldn't surprise me if they take the series 3-0.

It seems the ECB PR system is in overdrive this week. Now that Brendon McCullum is FINALLY back in the country, we’re being bombarded with both glossy, gentle in-house and some better external interviews where he shares his thoughts on the Ashes debacle.
How loquacious he suddenly is! He’s all over my timeline with lots of talk about leanings and his desire to help England improve. The thing is, it’s all about 5 months too late.
Mate, you had your chance and you blew it — epically! It was a monumental, colossal embarrassing balls up and a staggering case study of how not to do an Ashes tour.
I recognise that he’d be criticised if he didn’t talk to the media now that he’s back but, for me, he’s now firmly in damned if he does/damned if he doesn’t territory. He has lost so much credibility, that pretty much anything he says now will irritate me and come across as hollow. I don’t think I’m the only one.
The anger over the Ashes is still palpable, especially given that there have been no consequences for any of the architects of the whole miserable shambles.
So I don’t really want to listen to any more interviews with him. His words don’t matter now. It’s got to be about action.
Either England win both series this summer and show that they’ve evolved (and have more than a couple of brain cells between the whole team), or the game’s up.

@HantsPolice @smg1664 Resign, you are clearly not fit for the job, those officers should be behind bars. Why cant the police force stop fucking about and get a grip of this country.

Today, a man has been convicted of the murder of student Henry Nowak in Southampton. Throughout the trial, we have not discussed this case publicly to ensure that justice could be done but now we can share a message from DCC Robert France.
