Duxbury finished the 2026 regular season week with 3 games and several stars that shined that deserved extra recognition for their outstanding performances under Head Coach Charlie Finn. Catherine Grimaldi: Catherine Grimaldi finished the last game of the 2026 regular season on May 21, 2026, against Marshfield with a bang as she hit a home run, had 2 singles, scored 1 run and had 4 RBIs. On May 20, 2026, against Plymouth North, Catherine Grimaldi had 3 hits (double, 2 singles) scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs. On May 19, 2026, against Hingham, Catherine Grimaldi had 2 hits including a home run, single, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs. Catherine Grimaldi finished the 3-game week with 2 home runs, 1 double, 5 singles and 8 RBIs. Jodi Soderstrom: Jodi Soderstrom finished the last game of the 2026 regular season with another multi-hit game for the week as she had 2 hits (double, single) 1 walk, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs. On May 20, 2026, against Plymouth North, Jodi Soderstrom had 4 hits including a home run and 3 singles, scored 3 runs and had 3 RBIs. On May 19, 2026, against Hingham, Jodi Soderstrom had 3 hits that included 2 home runs,.1 double, scored 2 runs and had 6 RBIs. Jodi Soderstrom finished the 3-game week with 3 home runs, 2 doubles, 4 singles and 11 RBIs. Avy Thompson: Avy Thompson finished the last game of the regular season on May 21, 2026, against Marshfield with a multi-hit game as she had 2 hits (2 singles) scored 3 runs and had 1 RBI. On May 20, 2026, against Plymouth North, Avy Thompson had 3 hits (triple, 2 singles) and scored 2 runs. Bria McCone: Bria McCone, only an eighth grader on the varsity team finished the last game of the 2026 regular season against Marshfield with 1 hit (single) 1 walk and in the circle tossed 4 strikeouts. Duxbury was led in the loss by Jodi Soderstrom who hit a home run, 3 singles, scored 3 times and had 3 RBIs. Catherine Grimaldi had 3 hits (1 double, 2 singles) scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs. Avy Thompson had 3 hits (1 triple, 2 singles). Plymouth North’s Chloe Manning led with 3 RBIs, scored 3 runs and had 3 hits (3 singles). Emerson Boyd had 3 hits (2 doubles, 1 single) and 2 RBIs. Lucy Reed and Maddy Harris each had 2 hits and 1 RBI. Samantha Moschella and Chloe Stasinos each had 1 hit and 2 RBIs. DUXBURY VS. NORWELL: SOFTBALL Duxbury 15 Norwell 3 (6 innings) May 8, 2026. Duxbury celebrated senior day with a big 15-3 win over Norwell. Duxbury’s Avy Thompson was perfect at the plate going 5 for 5 which included 2 solo home runs, double, 2 singles and 2 RBIs. Jodi Soderstrom collected 4 hits (2 doubles, 2 singles) and 2 RBIs. Frankie Iovanna powered for a 2-run home run, 2 singles and 3 RBIs and pitched 6 solid innings to earn the win in the circle. Also contributing in the win for Duxbury at bat were Elizabeth Carroll with 2 hits (2 doubles) 3 RBIs. Izzy LaVallee 2 hits (double, single) 1 walk, 2 RBIs. Ruairi O’Malley 2 singles.
