JODI SODERSTROM: Tournament Power Star Jodi Soderstrom class of 2027 was a power star in the softball tournament during the IDT Softball Louisville Slugger Tournament presented by the Colorado Stars held in Boulder, Colorado from July 1 – July 5, 2026. Jodi Soderstrom of Duxbury High School in Duxbury, MA played on the RI Thunder Gold 16U National Leclair-Lotti club softball team that had an outstanding showing with a record of 9-1-1 and finishing the tournament in 3rd place out of 32 teams in their bracket across the USA. Jodi Soderstrom helped to power the team as a key player during the tournament as she totaled 9 hits which included a team leading 4 power home runs. Jodi also had 2 doubles, 3 singles, 3 walks and a team leading 14 RBIs. RI Thunder National Leclair-Lotti 16U defeated Unity Showcase Sampson/Mayer 16U by the score of 7-0. Jodi Soderstrom had a perfect game at the plate going 2 for 2 with 2 singles, scored 1 run and had 2 RBIs. Skylar Hawes powered hitting a 2-run home run, walked 2 times, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs. Kayleigh Ventura connected for a 2-run home run and had 2 RBIs. Kristah LeClair had 1 hit (double) scored a run and had 1 RBI. Pitcher Bailey Cassin pitched 3 innings allowing only 1 hit, 0 runs and struck out striking out 5 batters and Mattea Mello pitched 3 innings allowing only 2 hits, 0 runs and struck out 5 batters. Also contributing to the win Piper Barata had 1 hit (double). Paisley Parisee had 1 hit. Abbie Saltzman had 2 walks. Adriana Torres had 1 walk. Avalena Hopkins had 1 walk and scored 1 run. RI Thunder National Leclair-Lotti 16U defeated NJ Unity Torres/Plath 16U by the score of 2-0. With the score tied 0-0 to start the bottom of the sixth inning RI Thunder National scored 2 runs to take a 2-0 lead for the game winner. Abbie Satzman was the hero as she hit double in the bottom of the sixth inning which scored Kristah LeClair and Lila Alvarez for the games only runs for the victory. Kayleigh Ventura had 1 hit and 1 walk. Skylar Hawes, Lila Alvarez and Kristah LeClair each had 1 walk. Pitchers Lila Alvarez and Lily Shirey were outstanding. Lila Alvarez pitched 4 innings allowing only 1 hit, 0 runs and struck out 3 batters. Lily Shirey pitched 2 innings allowed only 1 hit, 0 runs and struck out 2 batters. The regular season is over, I am more than proud of all of these girls for the hard work they put in every single day! I spent all winter lifting and getting in lessons, I could tell they paid off from the start! Here are some highlights and stats⬇️⬇️

Thank you to Coach Finn, Coach Wargo, and all of my teammates for an exciting and memorable season! We may not have won as many games as we hoped, but we fought hard every game, ending the season with 227 hits! Next year we will have the season we hoped for. Can’t wait for it!
