Thanks to all who participated in this year's Pumpkin Smash event at the Landscape Recycling Center! A total of 2,083 lbs of pumpkins were collected for composting, (including 42 lbs. from UIUC students, thanks @secsuiuc!). 21 different "visits" (cars), with 58 individuals.

Remember to bring your pumpkins to the Landscape Recycling Center to compost at the Pumpkin Smash! We're here till 3PM!

Join us Saturday, 11/2, 11 AM-3 PM to compost your jack-o-lanterns. Keep them out of the landfill where they'd contribute to GHG emissions & keep those nutrients working for our soils! @cityofurbana @champaigncity @UofIllinois @parklandcollege @PrairieResInst
