According to Nielsen numbers obtained by "Status," the flagship evening news program with Tony Dokoupil is having its lowest rated first quarter this century in both total viewers and in the crucial 24-54 demographic.
Weiss was installed by billionaire Trump ally David Ellison as a sort of ideological czar to push more right-wing stories and tamp out any criticisms of Israel. Under her leadership, the CBS News brand has shredded its credibility in pursuit of more conservative viewers but that was always a doomed venture. All that she succeeded in doing was driving away liberals and independents while conservatives continue to get their red meat propaganda from places like Fox News and Newsmax.
Status further reports that "CBS Evening News" is averaging a paltry 4.3 million viewers. Viewership amongst the 25-54 demo — the preferred group for advertisers — is down by a jaw-dropping 18%, hovering around 541,000 viewers.
“It’s pretty terrible. Once you’re under 4 million, you’ve got to be worried that you’re in a death spiral,” said one CBS insider. “If they can’t retain an audience in the middle of a war, God help you when the war ends.”
On top of that, CBS' morning show from which Dokoupil was poached is failing spectacularly as well with an average of 1.8 million viewers, down 13% from last year and. It's experiencing its lowest-rated quarter on record.
This stunning collapse would get most people fired, but Weiss' entire career has been a case study in failing upwards. Thanks to her, the network has lost Anderson Cooper and droves of experienced employees who made their disgust with her tenure clear on the way out. Hopefully, she's the next to go!

BREAKING: [YET ANOTHER MAGA PEDO] The CHIEF OF STAFF for a top Republican official in Alaska is indicted for sex trafficking children, and HOW he was caught is incredible.
Craig Scott Valdez, 36, chief of staff to Republican Sen. George Rauscher and newly elected chair of the Anchorage Young Republicans, was arrested Friday on charges of sex trafficking a minor, producing and receiving child sexual abuse material, and coercion and enticement of a minor.
Officials believe there may be at least 12 minors who were victims of his operation.
This isn't a misunderstanding. This is a monster.
According to court documents, Valdez allegedly lured a 15-year-old girl he'd groomed on Snapchat to his home to "sexually exploit her to celebrate his birthday." He had met her when she was just 13 or 14 years old. The FBI has identified at least 11 other potential victims.
You know who stopped him that night? Not the Republican Party. Not a background check. Not any kind of vetting process.
Her mother.
A brave mom used a family tracking app to find her daughter at Valdez's home. She knocked — then walked in, punched Valdez in the face, and carried her barely-conscious child to safety.
Valdez, apparently stunned that a mother's love hits harder than his sense of impunity, then FLED HIS OWN HOUSE when police arrived.
Sen. Rauscher's office had nothing to say — firing Valdez only AFTER the charges became PUBLIC. The Anchorage Young Republicans had just elevated this man to state committee chair last month.
MAGA loves to screech about "protecting the children" at school board meetings and drag shows. But when a predator is running their own offices and youth organizations?
Crickets. Pink slips. No accountability.
