I can honestly say that I had no idea just how much teachers do—or how much they sacrifice—until I became one. I never truly understood the long hours, the emotional weight, the relentless dedication, or the deep love that keeps us going, even when the world seems against us.

The ceasefire in Lebanon remains fragile. UNICEF continues to prioritize the protection of children from harm and the strengthening of public infrastructure. But lasting peace is vital for their well-being.

Every kid deserves the opportunity to get a quality public education. It's one of the issues I hear most about when talking to Virginia parents. As Governor, I'll work to strengthen our public schools and help put our kids on a path to success.

Today we joined @SEIUVA512 and @VEA4Kids in support of bargaining for all public workers in Va! We are proud to see an omnibus bill pass through Labor and Commerce. Thank you to Senators @JCarrollFoy, @ssurovell, and @SenLouiseLucas for supporting workers with this legislation.

Last night, the Fairfax County School Board unanimously ratified its first collective bargaining agreement in nearly 50 years. This is a transformative step toward fair compensation, safety, & support for students and @VEA4Kids educators across Fairfax County.

I’m the mom of three kids in Virginia public schools. As Governor, I will support our incredible teachers, protect our schools, and make sure that every child — no matter their zip code — can succeed. I’m proud to earn VEA Fund’s endorsement to serve as Governor of Virginia.
