@andy_austin_dev @TimSweeneyEpic No, but it will interest so many more people to learn more about making apps. Where some of them inevitably want to actually learn how to code or really make something amazing.

@andy_austin_dev @TimSweeneyEpic I used Dreamweaver’s WYSIWYG features to make websites before I could code. We all have to start somewhere and AI is so much more powerful than WYSIWYG editors.

After years of using Flutter, I'm ditching Flutter. KMP is the way to go for me from now on. UI works and looks well, with cross-platform logic. Easy development with agents. I tried SwiftUI, but oh boy, now I understand why iOS devs take so much time to build some features. I got tired of having to fight the framework all the time. And no I didn't try React Native with Expo.

@VadimNotJustDev @expo It is definitely not forgotten, and I agree it still requires work. That's why we had to keep it in beta. We are talking about it internally to see what direction we can take it in today's world ❤️

EAS metadata is so underrated such a game changer for localising your app using ai I wish @expo gives a bit more attention to it. There are some rough edges. Feels like it was forgotten after the initial release

@sashakryzh @expo There are ways to configure the dynamic config to "extend" the static config, best of both worlds: #dynamic-configuration" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">docs.expo.dev/workflow/confi… (3rd example)

@cedric_dev @expo I always prefer to have DEV and PROD version of the app installed on my phone, because I use my apps and I don't want to mess the production data with dev build is this possible to do with app.json?

unpopular opinion: @expo should use app.config.ts by default and get rid of app.json

@sashakryzh @expo Because that's not programatically configurable.

@cedric_dev @expo why not use app.config.ts that also allows to configure APP_VARIANT + type safety

Thanks for the feedback, it is appreciated! We want Expo to be the best framework to build apps, not just the best cross-platform framework. That's why we also heavily focus on single-platform features. But that does not mean we are only focused on a single platform. Again, if the Google Play Store has a similar feature, helping users be productive with crashes during testing, we'd love to add that too.

In the latest version of @Expo MCP, Enable agents like Claude Code to fix TestFlight crashes and review user feedback automatically 🚀 ◆ Full crash logs and screenshots ◆ Follow up with users over email ◆ Rank issue severity ◆ Works with any Apple app—Expo, SwiftUI, etc.

@Baconbrix @expo Why you guys keep emphasizing iOS only features? We like React Native / Expo because devs can develop for both platform. Please stop with the iOS only features!

@keybid_ro @Replit @expo Thanks, yeah we had limited time and could only cover so much. That being said, Launch already configures your app with the default EAS Updates settings - allowing you to use OTA when you add `expo-updates` to your app. I think the LLM might even be able to create an update.

AI builds web apps well. Mobile apps have been harder. Now, the inventor of React (the technology that AI uses to build apps), has a new announcement.
