Skipping indoors and conference play sets a terrible precedent.
The NCAA tennis committee needs to institute a match requirement to be eligible for the NCAA team tournament.
This wouldn’t be new; there was a minimum match requirement to qualify for individuals in May.

TBF, Kypson was at A&M for a hiccup before turning pro, 1 Spring season including the infamous JJ Wolf match ☺️. Prior to A&M, PK spent time in the USTA PD program.

@Djoko_UTD No backhand is an anomaly and not the future. Great effort by a great player. I saw Teo play in the Futures a few weeks ago. The craziest ATP age stat in my time was Becker winning Wimbledon at 17. Talented juniors Kozlov, FAA and Donald Young all had an ATP point at 14.

@pavyg @mariasakkari You have your favs ☺️. I pass on all the sportsmanship jive. Even St. Ruud had a 20ft frustration racket chuck.
IMO it was a fast and unnatural play that was difficult to feel or call. And Maria was right to request the video review. The system is far from perfect but it works.

Players that choose development over NIL are less likely to portal.
