@akira6592 Not right now, but it will come soon. We couldn't fit in the 2.0.0 timeline.

Is there a way to get json format data of "ansible-navigator collections -m stdout" results?

@willmcgugan BTW, I'm a bit of a TUI geek, so I really love all these....

@willmcgugan If you are suggesting a welcoming place where both experienced and less experienced developers can participate in these projects and everyone learns from each other and the bits benefit.... Why not? Disclaimer, I'm still new at all of this.

Should I create a Community for Rich, Textual and other terminal stuff? Not sure if it’s worth it, given that 99.9% of my followers are here for that anyway.

Our son Winston recently turned 2 and ansible-navigator just had a 2.0.0rc1 release. It is hard to explain how much joy both bring me. @ansible pypi.org/project/ansibl… They are strangely connected.

@geerlingguy Thank you. Had you done this in the first place, it would have saved us both a lot of frustration. Your participation and contributions are, and always will be appreciated.

Not a fan of ansible-lint defaulting to fail if you don't use FQCNs with builtins. Why is writing an Ansible playbook becoming more and more like coding in Java? :P FQCNs are fine, trying to enforce their use when not required is not.

@geerlingguy So maybe next time, add a disclaimer explaining that you may have been too busy to see the change in a project that you are invested in, rather than tweeting without context or history provided. Everything is done in the open for a good reason, participate or accept.

@codethenetwork As an end-user, I unfortunately don't have the time to actively follow the PRs in all the Ansible repos :( The sad thing is outside of curmudgeonly tweets, I've been trained through GitHub issue reactions there's no other feedback mechanism to change something once committed.

@geerlingguy You can't have it both ways. Following HEAD suggests you are interested in incremental changes to the project and desire to be a participant, but I don't see you provided any feedback on the PR that enabled the rule as default: github.com/ansible/ansibl…

@codethenetwork Therefore I like to follow HEAD, and I realize that is inherently less stable than pinning. But when a rule comes along that feels out of place (as a default) I'll definitely call it out—just like the "no comparison to empty string" rule that still mystifies me ;)

@geerlingguy The rule can be disabled, and the use of ansible-lint is optional. I'm not sure where the "enforcement" is happening. ansible-lint recommends practices for production grade content and will continue to do so.

@codethenetwork 'ansible-navigator run' command can make json files( ansible-navigator.yml establish playbook-artifact) json file name variable is 'playbook_dir' 'ts_utc' I need 'ts_jst'. I want to put Japan time in the json file name.

@akira6592 Sorry about that, it seems changelog generation didn't happen. The release is mostly bug fixes, the only new functionality is `container-options`, allows for additional params to be passed directly to the container engine command.

@DonPwrShellHunt @ansible That probably should read, ansible-playbook cannot run containers, navigator runs the container in the very much the same fashion as controller would, it's a pre-production validation tool among other things to vet the EE

@ansible I know I have seen ansible-playbook running in containers without ansible-navigator. Is it "Ansible core" that cannot run in containers?
