lol @Rainmaker1973 has single-handedly sapped the life out of billions of views on this platform. And directly led actual content creators like me away from experimenting more with video content on X 99.999% of the content he posts is stolen, and he blocks all who call it out

@jetpen I'm sure there are many more. Biggest problem I have is accounts downloading and reuploading. Reposting and actual aggregation is no problem. Or paying people for clips (and still adding attribution) like Daily Dose of Internet

@bretweber The HPL test is one of the most annoying to standardize... one of those things where I've probably put in 500+ hours total to the process of making that playbook run across Arm, X86, and now also RISC-V with as much optimization across all. At least you didn't use ATLAS :D

The TL;DR-ish is I was testing with OpenBLAS at the time for something else, and I inadvertently ended up using that for all tests, when BLIS is the default (with a couple of other options here and there) on Jeff's. My goal was to be able to have these numbers comparable, and it seems I've failed there :D So feel free to compare the numbers across the boards on sbc.compare, they all used the same setup, but I need to figure out how to handle this moving forward.. I'm not sure I want to re-test 100+ boards, even with this lovely automation 😅

Tfw you realise you overlooked something when implementing the Linpack test in your automation meaning that whilst everything on sbc.compare is comparable with each other, it's not compatible with @geerlingguy's Ansible runs.. Frickedy frick

@geerlingguy The home page is just embarrassing. Almost every time I refresh, it reorders the same content. It's useless at surfacing new content.

Glanced at the MLS game "shot entirely on iPhone 17 Pro", and its rough. Slow mo replays are especially bad, I'm surprised they didn't juice the iPhones to stream in like 240fps or something. Also, brightness seems off, probably color / iris hard to remote control.

@xXshaurizardXx I feel like at some point Apple's going to just give up on FCP, it's feeling like Aperture was before it got killed, at least on Mac.

@themitch22 @repkord @jakkuh_t @Prusa3D Positron was fun, mostly because of all the weird surprises with the way it works (unique motion system, glass build plate, upside-down).

@repkord @jakkuh_t @Prusa3D I enjoyed the core one build, the instructions make the difference. The positron and voron v0 were enjoyable builds too. I think it’s just the expectation vs reward.

A few months back @jakkuh_t told me he thought the CoreOne build isn't as fun as other @Prusa3D builds. I've spent a while thinking about this. What makes a machine build FUN? The challenge? The engineering /gaining understanding of how it works? The Haribo? Highly subjective. Having built 14 of them now I've gotten pretty good at it but I still don't know if I'd say it's FUN. Rewarding yes, valuable yes. Fun?🤔
