Your reminder of just how much they squandered. โฌ1.9 trillion in 24 years. โฌ1.3 trillion in last 15 years alone. Record revenue, record taxes, & what do we have to show for it? Housing chaos, broken services, crumbling infrastructure. They took everything & delivered nothing.

๐ฅ Watch this! Fianna Fรกil and Fine Gael refuse to listen to people. Arrogant and incompetent. Half measures donโt cut it. We need to see the maximum reduction in fuel prices at the pumps. The people have no confidence in this useless government. They should back their bags and go.

Major investment in our local Fire Services!

NEW: Independent TDs Sean Canney, Marian Harkin, and โBoxerโ Moran have confirmed they will vote confidence in the Government. Barring any backbench rebels, the Government has secured the 87 votes they need to win the vote.

Minister Patrick O'Donovan has said he will be asking Coimisiรบn na Meรกn to review RTร and others' coverage of the fuel protests. He suggested that coverage was "lopsided" in favour of the protest and that "carte blanche was given to some people". jrnl.ie/7011275t

Sinn Feinnโs David Cullinane tried to hijack the Waterford protest didnโt end well. Get them out including the controlled opposition ๐ฎ๐ช๐ฎ๐ช

Day 6 of fuel protests and big numbers out in Louth. Fianna Fรกil and Fine Gael need to listen to the people.

The protests in Ireland are not about just fuel! They are about the distance between Ireland on this graph and every other modern and developed economy. Ireland is second wealthiest but gets waaaaay less than any other country for that wealth. By a golden mile. That visual gap in this graph? Thatโs what people are protesting. Itโs a lack of infrastructure and the everyday enshittification of services, the economy, and the additional difficulty of trying to live, relative to peers in any other country. It also highlights why people donโt get uniformly listened to! - because there is no government architecture to engage meaningfully across this huge gap. That gap is a three hour drive to work in traffic, a 14 month wait for an MRI, buses that donโt arrive, trains that donโt exist, schools that have no places for your kids, houses that are unaffordable, pubs that close before midnight, โฌ12 sandwiches, expensive fuel. People feel this gap, even if they canโt explain it precisely. And that builds into resentment, and ultimately protest. Fuel just happened to be the next thing that could be pointed to, today.
