I’ve been getting asked a lot about the vending machine series in my DMs and if I’m bullish on these. (Well 3 people) The og gacha glossiest cards ever Ok first of all the set symbol can be misleading. The quick starter gift set also used it. And these cards weren’t glossy and are missing the rairty symbol/ some are holo like the articuno Another thing some CD and corocoro promos also share the vending machine set symbol as well as the mail in promo (masaki Gengar). Ooyama pikachu and the extra rule cards are incredibly sick and interesting highlights. (I have the extra rule cards still need the pikachu) Anyway I say all this to say the vending cards are some of my favorite arts in all of pokemon history. They are rare. Cool. And super glossy. I implore you to learn more about the lore and history. Now… am I bullish on these???? Like as an investment vehicle. I have no idea. I’m collecting these. I think with rare cool obscure exclusive Japanese there is a niche. Nowmyself. I was always obsessed with the earliest Pokemon stuff that didn’t make it to the states. And I will continue to be that way. TLDR I think over time there is a lot of potential for these cards. They are cool scarce in nice condition and really collectible.
