@cumberbottom @Prackprack @entomemeology What they do specifically is they eat all the nutrients and then poop on the surface, where plants can’t access it. Then it washes away in the rain. The soil quality goes down over time.
Our native worms live deeper in the soil and don’t surface to poop, and thus can be used.

@Prackprack @entomemeology So what's the big deal? Like clearly the worms have become part of the ecosystem. Birds eat the worms from the ground, especially in the spring, and trees aren't exploding because the worms. All that matters is that the environment is sustainable for human life

If your so worried about the animal populations you shoot the cats.
