This week showed exactly why the monarchy remains one of Britain's greatest assets: King Charles's masterful use of soft power. The Crown builds bridges when the world needs it most.

@juneslater17 @macmillancancer This report is disturbing. Cancer doesn't prioritise. It is a dark, sad day. I'm disappointed that a once great charity has become discriminatory to suffers who won't be prioritised. A 2 tear cancer system! Shame in you.

@RNN_RoyalNews In the spirit of George Orwell, I have never been more convinced that William understands Britain’s quiet majority better than the intelligentsia, elites, and commentators who so often claim to speak for them while neither knowing nor liking them.

'Come, madam, you must straight to Westminster, there to be crowned Richard's royal queen'
- Richard III (IV, 1)
Anne of Bohemia was crowned in Westminster Abbey in January 1382, two days after marrying Richard II. The ceremonial instructions for the service are set out in the Liber Regalis (or royal book) - a beautifully-illuminated manuscript thought to have been made for the occasion.
Despite various changes over the centuries, the instructions it gives still form the basis of the coronation service today.

I see the Prince of Wales is being criticised for expressing his faith in these terms, as reported by @RoyaNikkhah (in a rather excellent exclusive). A Head of State who is a professing Christian—even a quiet one—is a blessing. Don't carp: pray for him.
