@acochran12733 @mtclarke This has never made sense to me either. ASME has says they own copyright and then grant back to the author the right to distribute the AAM with a CC-BY. Which also doesn’t compute for me.

@mtclarke I don’t understand how a paper can have two different licenses. How can an author assert CCBY on the ms and then sign over copyright or other rights to the publisher without invalidating the first license?

Saying no is important, takes courage, and should be modeled AND facilitated. Haven’t been much for Twitter lately, but just a little rant I needed to hear and thought others might too.

Leaders (lack of quotes intentional) prioritize their own well-being and boundaries, possibly to their own detriment, to lift up those around them. And go a step further to proactively protect their team’s boundaries.

Theory: “Leaders” (quotes intentional) get snarky when staff prioritize for personal balance bc they’re resentful they didn’t do it sooner. Easier to perpetuate unreasonable demands than do the hard work of reconstructing and modeling personal boundaries.

Niloufar Ruth Ann joined us this weekend weekend after a emergency c section. While she’s at the nicu, she’s a fighter and we hope to have her home soon. Thanks to all many of you who have reached out with support of your own nicu stories and triumphs. It means so much!

@BFlynnP That’s crazy though. A lot of rec players themselves aren’t 100% devoted. Sometimes that’s why they play rec in the first place. Why can’t our kids just do some things for fun anymore?? This focus on “100% devotion” drives me up the wall.

@JenniferARegala @kzwarick Omg, Dimetapp!! In retrospect, it was so gross. But at the time, I was so traumatized by the orange flavor of St Joseph’s children’s aspirin that Dimetapp grape seemed like a godsend to child-me. 🤢
