What a year. The last 14-months I was privileged enough to: – Marry the love of my life in a wedding beyond my wildest dreams – Buy my first home in Los Angeles, California – Quit my job – Start something new... Here are 7️⃣ learnings I want to share: [None of this ground-breaking stuff that you haven’t heard before - but like most good advice, its a reminder about the obvious things from another perspective.] ♥️ Who you’re with is one of the most important decisions you make. I’m not saying you have to be with someone, but if you are, find someone who loves and supports you unconditionally. Being with my one true love has made everything much more rewarding, joyful, and meaningful. 🌎 Where you live has a huge impact. If you’re by the city, you’ll go out more. If you’re in a remote town, you’ll relax more. If you’re in a big city, you’ll meet more people. There’s no right or wrong - but moving around helped me figure out how to balance work and life. Turns out LA is the perfect-fit of work, lay, and play. A little less work than the other major city, just as much lay as the middle, but even more play than all the others. 🏠 For some reason, I always found buying a house daunting, and it lived up to it's reputation and was one of the most stressful things I’ve done. A lot of moving pieces, a massive commitment, so much can go wrong, and so many bloody forms. I do wish I took my brothers’ advice earlier in life. Good thing is now that I’ve done it once I know the next one will be much much easier, it’s no longer scary, and I can pass this advice to my younger brother. Lesson here: if someone offers you help, take a leap of faith sometimes. 🩺 If you don’t have your health, physical or mental, you don’t really have anything. Really. There’s simply nothing you can say to argue with this. Please, take more walks to exercise your body, and relax your mind. It’s unfathomable with so much technology in the world, how loneliness and depression is higher than ever. Pick a friend, IRL or URL, and hold each other accountable to walk and talk every day. ✨ No matter what you do or how many mistakes you make, you’ll end up doing what you were meant to do anyway. Don’t force anything. (Look up the “Alan Watts Wu Wei” video). If somethings too hard, then it may just not meant to be. If something is hard, that’s normal. One more time: If it’s too hard, let it go. If it's hard, keep going. 😇 Outside your significant other, your immediate family, and a small group of friends that you could fit onto a small bus, most other people don’t care about you. We’re self-obsessed creatures. Learn to rely on yourself and hype yourself up. Don’t over index on how much you think people think about you, and your goals. If you've got a good supporter/mentor, thank them everyday and tell them they're your fav. 🚀 You don’t wake up in the morning and decide to start a company. It’s something that keeps you up at night. Lord knows I've seen more companies than anyone else over the last few years and I've seen founders doing it wrong, and for the wrong reasons. Know what you're getting into and that its a 10-year plus commitment. With that said, I have had something keeping me up every night, and I'm excited to go build it. DM or text me if you're interested to learn more and want to get together. I'll be hiring for every role - please, reach out. That's it for me. Hope this is inspiring enough for you to change at least one thing in your life. I am living my best life... and you can too.

Is there a google doc floating around of suggested creative activities for kids at home during this time? Both for fun and for learning. Including family activities too. We are making up new games/teachings each day and would add them. If not, let’s start one.
