Your side project needs background music. You could browse stock libraries for hours. You could pay $15/month for a license you'll forget to cancel. Or you could hit an endpoint. AceStep 1.5 on deAPI - open-source music generation that handles 50+ styles, from lo-fi beats to orchestral scores. Describe what you want, get a track back. Building a game? A meditation app? A content tool that needs royalty-free audio? One API call.

This week two things happened: Manus launched a desktop app - AI agents now run locally on your machine. NVIDIA dropped NemoClaw - one command to deploy always-on agents. The agent era isn't coming. It showed up while we were arguing about AGI timelines. Here's what nobody's talking about: these agents don't generate images by themselves. They don't transcribe audio or do TTS on their own. Every "action" is an API call to somewhere. And agents are unpredictable. Monday your agent processes 12 images. Tuesday it transcribes 400 hours of video because someone pointed it at a YouTube channel. Wednesday it does nothing. Subscriptions don't work for that. Flat-rate tiers don't work for that. Pay per request works for that. deAPI gives you image gen, transcription, TTS, and more through one API key. Open-source models, up to 20x more cost-effective than the big providers. You pay when your agent works, not when it doesn't. Your agent's backend shouldn't cost more than your agent.

Today, we're taking Manus out of the cloud and putting it on your desktop. Introducing My Computer, the core feature of the new Manus Desktop app. It’s your AI agent, now on your local machine.

Ginger cat → black cat. One prompt, no Photoshop. Image-to-image editing via API. Describe the change in text, get the result back. Two models: Qwen Image Edit Plus and FLUX.2 Klein 4B BF16. The kind of thing that saves an e-commerce team from doing 50 color variants by hand.

AceStep 1.5 is open-source and handles vocals, instrumentals, and mixing in a single pass. Generation time on deAPI infrastructure sits under 10 seconds for most tracks. If you're building something with audio - the same endpoint is waiting for you. Sign up, grab your free $5 credit, and start shipping. deapi.ai

Someone built a free AI music generator on our AceStep 1.5 endpoint. Full song from a text prompt. Under a minute. Zero cost for the user. It's called Boppy: boppy.me

If you run OpenClaw agents 24/7 using frontier models like Opus 4.6, you’re easily burning $1000 a day. That’s $3.65 million per year. Most people don’t realize this. So instead I built a local cluster of 31 Mac Minis running high-end local models like: • Kimi K2.5 • MiniMax 2.5 • Qwen Stefani 3.5 (Beta) They’re chugging 24/7/365. I spent about a third of that yearly cost to buy these machines. Now I can run my agents for years for free. Completely private. Completely secure. Completely local. Not a single prompt leaves my mom’s basement.

@billcompute Not optimal. Real pro would use 30 Mac Studios to make things up on the internet ;)

I currently run 412 OpenClaw agents 24/7 across 31 Mac Minis. They’re: • building apps • automating my life • generating business ideas People ask how to replicate this system. It’s actually very simple. You just need about 30 Mac Minis, a solid imagination, and absolutely no fear of making things up on the internet.

@ebukagaus Not sure if you are joking or not, but there'a big difference between a thoughtful conversation with an agent, then it writing code, then testing it and "yo fix issue x and submit yolo"

Most transcription APIs want you to upload a file. Download the video. Convert the format. Handle the upload. Then wait. deAPI takes a URL. YouTube, Twitch, Kick, X videos, Spaces - paste the link, get the transcript. Whisper Large V3, $0.015 per hour. That's one API call. The rest is up to you.

For the facial animations in my game, I use a technique that yields results similar to L.A. Noire. To keep it simple: I first generate a facial animation video using AI like LTX 2. Then, I create a video depth map from that animation and project it onto a face mask. Using vertex displacement, the depth map dynamically deforms the face as the character speaks. The result looks good in standalone VR. I actually created this workflow long time ago: x.com/alexfredo87/st…

The fastest path from "I have an idea" to "I have a product": Open our playground, generate an image without even logging in. Grab an API key. Copy our LLM-ready docs into Claude. Ask it to build your app. That is the whole tutorial.

deAPI model count keeps climbing. Recently: Qwen3 TTS and Chatterbox for text-to-speech (alongside Kokoro). Soon: something that makes noise in a different way. For now - here's everything available 👇
