I got into YC S26 as a solo founder! The last 15 months looked something like this: > Started an API company from scratch > Realized building infrastructure is insanely hard > Grew slowly for months > Then all at once > Reached 210 paying customers > Landed 10 unicorns + 70 VC-backed startups > Started telling customers "not yet" because I couldn't afford to build everything they wanted > Wait, I actually need funding > Applied to YC > Rejected > Doubled revenue > Applied again Today I'm in. To all my customers who trusted me when I was just some random dude from the internet, thank you.

Built a House Listing App featuring authentication, property listings, detailed property pages, and a responsive design. Users can sign up as either an Agent or a Customer. Agents get their own dashboard where they can post and manage only the properties they've listed. Demo⬇️

Started using agentic coding tools to move faster. Now I catch myself assigning a task to AI, opening X, checking my phone, coming back, testing the output, and repeating the loop. Somewhere along the way, my projects became spaghetti black boxes I only understand at a surface level. Thinking of going back to coding with no AI side panel and using AI only when I'm actually stuck. Anyone else feeling this?

As a dev, what do you prefer for backend?

@Star_Knight12 I believe google has one of the best general purpose AI so far. All my non coder friends and family members actively use Gemini. I rarely see non technical ppl talk about Claude. What's your opinion?

Need a break. Disappeared into the countryside far from my computer, far enough from Claude. So far that nobody spoke of vibe coding, LLMs, RAGs, or SaaS. Just wind and trees, dust on the road And the sunshine above.
